Professor Wheeler is someone who puts his all into the class. I felt the whole class respected him and enjoyed his laid back personality. Speech is one of my greatest weaknesses but I felt he wants you to succeed. The requirements are clear and he allows you to get the work reviewed before the due date. Not many teachers do that. DO NOT get book!

I enjoyed Prof Wheelers class. He was very entertaining and kept lectures short. HOWEVER, Every test in class was based off of his slides and notes (DO NOT BUY THE BOOK) There are very little graded assignments in this class (4 tests & 3 speeches along with the final) if you are not a good test taker or dont have the time to study I would recommend taking this somewhere else. This class is not a "give me" grade, Professor Wheeler makes you work for an A the entire semester, but I promise theres never a dull moment in that classroom.

He sets the bar high but he is specific on what he wants for speeches and power point presentations. He is knowledgeable and makes presentations enjoyable by throwing humor into the mix. He inspires me to try harder and think outside the box. He's not going to give you an easy A, his class is challenging. I would take his class again.

This is not an easy class. I was told that one student out of 50 in the previous semester received an A. But if you are willing to work hard, it is not too difficult to get an A. It is necessary that you study the book and practice the speeches! Prof. Wheeler really wanted his students to succeed and wanted his classroom to be a safe environment.

This professor is very confusing in his direction. He has too many detailed instructions that creates a sense of confusion. He approves your photos and then gives you a low grade for using them. He expects you to know the "world " of photojournalism and has unclear expectations. I thought this would be a interesting class, NOT! Ruined my GPA

very nice guy, i was nervous taking a speech class n having to talk in front of everyone, he made the class comfortable and i didnt stress about giving a speech, the class was really fun and professor wheeler is really funny and cracks alot of jokes. i would definetly take him again!

The class was a series of analytical papers. Anything I learned in his class was out of the text or youtube videos. Grading is harsh with confusing expectations & explanations. It was uninteresting & a difficult experience. 2 days before the end of the term, I had I 3/6 grades & no idea of my success in the class.

He is an okay teacher. Nothing that really sparked my total interest. instead of basing class off of lecture and examples, he also likes to give fill in the blank tests. Not so bad except the material to remember was boring so I was not great at memorizing it. Not so good on tests and did pretty good on speeches so I pulled a C.
