He is not a good teacher. He is a good person but not good at teaching. He will go over things really well but does not give you time to figure anything out. He does not explain well and uses a lot of extra words, not straight forward at all. Has you do more work than you need to do.

Comment:

Math teaching robot! I mean this in a good way, his organization and preparation is exemplary, even the way he utilizes the chalk-board is great. On tests make sure to show your work in the manner he dictates to get good grades. Every time he breaks chalk he cusses and that's funny. I'm no mathy but his stats class has stuck with me.

Hands down the best math teacher I have ever had. When I had to leave for a week he emailed me all the notes and links for everything I was going to miss. Gives out good extra credit. He does give homework every class but honestly worth it. By the end of the course you have learned so much.

Yes, the class is tough. It's statistics. You don't need the book but you do need the online program so you can do the quizzes. If you don't do the quizzes you will not pass. But you can literally do them over and over until you are satisfied. His lectures are crystal clear, and he provides notes for class. Which you later may use one (some) tests

If you try to get ahold of him when he's no longer on campus (basically after 3), chances are, you won't. I've sent him around 15 emails and he's only ever responded to 2. His lectures are crystal clear, though. His exams are deceptively hard.

Okay, I like math, but this guy is ridiculous. Not only does he make you buy a 93 dollar online homework (My StatLab) system, but you literally have homework every night. Plus, he takes 1% every day missed after 2, and he really is such a rude teacher. Half of my class left, and we take this in-class quizzes that count for way too much. DO NOT TAKE

His tests have many of the problems from his quizzes. He is extremely helpful, I walked into his office spur of the moment with no notes or textbook and he said it wasn't a problem and answered all my questions. He has his quirks, but he's a good professor. Tests and quizzes are only "hard" because it's math, not because of the professor

All you have to do is show up, take notes, do the homework, study for the quizzes and test, and you will pass. The quizzes have problems from the homework and all you have to do is pull out your notebook and write your answer that you go. Easy points. People who fail this class do not do the homework and don't show up.

Best math teacher I had at western. Goes through notes at moderate pace and makes sure everyone is on tract. Didn't collect homework but there are quizzes every week that are just like the homework. Very helpful when you go to office hours! Even after the semester was over, he would still help me with my Calculus homework. Hands down best teacher

I struggle with his class. I am pretty decent in Math, but that doesn't even help. Half of our class is failing, and even when I go in for help, it doesn't help. He teaches stuff wrong, and has been corrected by students a few times. I have to drop and take with a new teacher next sem. so I can protect my GPA.

Even though I am in the first 8 weeks of Fall 2012, I find myself regretting that I am taking this class with him. He is a nice guy, but not so helpful. Ignores emails, doesn't give time to finish quizzes, and I'm struggling and it's only been 3 weeks. Dropping as we speak.

TERRIBLE! if you do not complete his quizzez with an 80 percent or higher before due date you receive 50% off so if you take the quiz 4 times and get a 70% each time you still can only receive a 50% also if you do not complete the quiz before the exam you can get a 0% on the exam do not take him!!!!!!!
