I managed to get an A in the class and I'm not the most gifted ISA person at all. If you do all of the assignments, discussion questions etc and study for tests and quizzes and attempt the labs you can make an A in the class. There are issues and glitches with the labs but as you attempt them you'll be fine! You'll learn alot in this class.

Great Professor! Very through in lectures and clear in what to expect in the class. Study and do the work and you will be fine. If you do not do good in this class then either you didn't try or InfoSec is not for you. Work load and material is heavy, but you will learn a lot, because there is a lot to learn.

I took this class online. A majority of the assignments are due on two separate dates. You have online quizzes for every chapter (in lock-down browser). You have easy labs and you have to do discussion questions. There are other assignments and one paper. I don't know how I am doing, because he hasn't graded anything yet. Mid-term was mostly vocab

Very nice and helpful. Offers fun insight during lectures. The bulk of work is due two different periods throughout the semester, so you can work at your own pace. Work is interesting and not tedious. I would recommend.

Not a hard professor. Took it online and got an A. Only hard part is this fake profile of a company, that you must suggest security recommendations. Everything else is easy. Easy tests...easy labs....Good at explaining and helping also. Highly Recommended.

This professor assisted in writing the text book so expect to read the entire thing. My only real complaint is that many of the labs did not work properly. I think that is unacceptable in an online IT class. That really needs to be resolved.

The class is not for the slacker there are many assignments the he assigns. The assignments are mostly short except for the seta project.The hardest thing in the class are tests many questions you haven't seen before.

I'm not an ISA major, I just took his class because I was in a learning community. He's a VERY GOOD professor who has an effective teaching style. Don't take him if you want an easy class, rather take him if you want to get taught right.

Very nice professor, extremely knowledgeable. 20% of grade is open book quizzes with an unlimited # of attempts. He gives you labs & podcasts to work on & there is some discussion board posting; not too bad. The hardest assignment was a SETA plan, but he worked & changed the assignment so we could understand it. =P I would def take this prof again.

Was online class, lots of work, huge amount of podcasts to listen too, answer questions in back of book, read every chapter, and numerous labs to complete. This class takes a lot of time, but I took it in the summer. Teacher is very knowledgeable. Posts lectures to listen to online on top off all. Will be spending a lot of time on your computer.

Took online. Great recorded lectures, and good textbook (he helped write it). Heavy workload however, and extremely comprehensive. You will only get an A in this course if you stay on top of ALL assignments, including semester project.

I took this prof in an online course and I was extremely disappointed. He basically dumped the information at the beginning of the course and you were on your own. His lectures were from the previous semester, the links to assignments apparently were too because they were often broken. He provided little to no actual teaching. Take someone else.

Very passionate about what he teaches. Great professor. Class was really easy. Small assignments and quizzes which if you follow the instructions, you will get a 100 on them. Don't have to go to class, he posts his recorded lectures online. It is like a hybrid course if you want it to be.

He's really passionate about network security but the work load is ridiculous! I made an A but I worked my behind off. The labs are very vague, lecturers are not very interesting but highly recommended. If you want to do good, follow INSTRUCTIONS otherwise you'll loose a lot of marks. Start you research paper on time and CITE whatever you write!!!
