This guy can really get you going in class, but it leads to great conversation. He may seem a bit all over that place at times but really a great guy to take a class with. Truly cares about the field of education.

Jim is my fav prof. Since I'm an English major with a secondary ed. minor, I feel like Jim really is a helpful person to talk to about my problems.

Jim Langholz is an endearing professor who likes to play the devil's advocate. He loves to talk and to argue. He references the text book in class, and readings are required, however he detests rote learning and memorization. He expects you to show up and speak your mind, but other than that he does not make too many demands on you time.

Jim (yes u must call him that) was a great prof who is very knowledgeable of the field. He may not be the most organized teacher but I always knew what was expected of me in his class.

Not the most organized professor. Really, a slacker class in a subject that should be anything but. He is VERY interested in getting students to teach overseas, sometimes to a fault. Not a great adviser.

Comment:
I never had him as a teacher, only as an advisor. If any incoming freshman have him as your advisor, SWITCH, NOW. He is never available to meet with, and when he is available he is way too scatterbrained and distracted to really help. I ended up leaving Luther, and blame a lot of my dissatisfaction with the school on him.
