Professors Wells is the absolute funniest, most intelligent man I have ever met in my life. I would be at the point of crying I was laughing so hard. Work wise, you have to do daily journals that get very old but the midterm and finals are very easy if you read the plays and take good notes. TAKE HIM IF YOU NEED A LINKED COHORT! you'll love him!

Honestly the best professor i've ever had. I'm taking another one of his class next semester because it is being offered as a linked cohort. If you struggle with English or have a real passion for writing, this is the best professor you can get. Very enthusiastic, very willing to help students and VERY knowledgable.

ok... good teacher with straight foward expectations however i did not like him because my grade consisted of two papers, and ONE test at the end of the year which was virtually impossible to study for. he expects way too much out of you and is almost too smart to be a teacher. if you like a challange and a class that has only one test, here u go

If you enjoy laughter and proverse discussion of Middle english then you will love Dr. Wells. I couldn't have hoped for a more helpful and friendly professor. If you have a dry sense of humor, or simply enjoy straight lecture then this is not the class for you.

Dr. Wells is a great person but if you can't stand rambling and off topic discussions that bounce from one end of your mind to the other it would be best to take someone else. He is always energetic, challenging and extremely helpful even though a lot of his class discussions lead to confusion.
