Dr. Ward always responded to my emails, was personable, and presented depressing subject matter in a respectful and thought provoking way. She is treasure to UNLV.

The class was very interesting, although a bit depressing to study the Holocaust for so many months. This course requires a ton of reading. Also, it's semester's end and I still don't know my grades. That aside, she has an extensive knowledge of the material and I have learned a great deal from this professor. I believe she is an asset to UNLV.

I have never been so disappointed in a teacher or a class in a very long time. I was extremely interested in this class/topic before hand and now could care less. For being an ONLINE class she sometimes took up to almost two weeks to respond to my e-mails/questions. Isn't timely about grade postings/anything else. have an A, but she still sucks

Had her for Hist holocaust. The best class I ever had at UNLV. She expects a lot. You will read a lot. Her tests are essay based, so you will need to know your stuff. However she really knows her stuff. I studied my butt off but recieved an A, so she grades quite fairly.

I took this class online. It was great! As long as you participate in the discussions every week and do well in the 3 papers, you will get an A in the class. Very interesting course, I recommend it!

Class was difficult. It required lots of reading, and attendance was mandatory and part of your grade. Exams were torture!! All essay and only an hour and 15 minutes to complete, then she grades hard, expects a lot from her students. I did like how she also used films to bring the history to life, and gave me a whole new perspective than before!!

Ward's classes are difficult but you'll be surprised by your final grade. I had a D+/C- the entire semester and then my final grade was a B-. This is because her attendance is mandatory and is worth 25% of the final grade, so if you go to class everyday your grade will jump.

I would not reccomend taking her class. I had her for Holocaust History and I was extremely excited at first, but half way through the class I hated it. She took a very fascinating subject and took a horrible approach in teaching it. I studies very hard for the midterm and still recieved a C. Her class is boring and so is she. I was disappointed.

You have to give a presentation, read selected novels (about 4 or 5), and you must write exams in a short amount of time (1 hour for 6-8 essay questions). Lots of effort needed.

Another one of my favorites at UNLV. Very dedicated to her class, and passionate about subject matter. Easy class if you're a real student, hard class if you're not.

The tests were extremely hard; nothing was really covered in class. She had us read the books then do class presentations on said books. The books themselves were very interesting, but nothing covered in class was covered on the test.

There was quite a bit of reading in this class, but most of the material was interesting. 85% of your grade came from papers and essays, but if you are a good writer, it will be a breeze. Dr. Ward was very helpful and consistantly posted comments on disscussions and assignments.

Dr. Ward demands high quality work in all her assignments. There will be lots of reading to do in her class but it makes it easier to follow the course.Very strict on her grading and attendence policy. I enjoyed her lectures and learned a lot. Even though it was hard, it challenged me.

thought the class was very interesting. Dr. Ward was available for office hours and was very helpful if you had questions. She even would provide a bibliography to help you with your research paper! No complaints here.

If Hitler wanted to find the perfect model of a professor he would have to choose Dr Ward. There are no excused absences and after the second absence she WILL drop your grade 20%. Too much or too little info in a term paper is an F. No room for errors.
