This was a fun lab! Attendance isn't technically mandatory but she does a worksheet every lab she grades and it helps for the exams. I learned a lot and I loved having her.

Comment:

Best lab ever, lots of hands on, She explains things well, then turns you loose to do the work, but is constantly moving around offering help. Really wants you to do well. Class is fun, but I learned so much- it really helped me in my other plants courses. Wish she would do the lecture. Loved the weird plant lecture!

Do the homework- definitely helps your grade and gets you ready for exams, she will spend extra time helping you with homework. Homework is tougher than exams usually. Changed my opinion about soils. Very fair. A little dry as a lecturer, Learned a lot of practical stuff I can apply to my Ag Engineering Tech major. Learned problem solving skills

I took her Plant Science class this semester and it was really hard. I have to retake it because I failed it. Her test are really hard and the final was over all the test combined. I wish I could take someone else for the class. Her lectures dont make any sense.

Be there!!! She gives you grades on your attendance and pop quizzes that you cant make up if you miss. The tests are very hard STUDY! Very helpful if you can find her out side of class.

My grandpa died and we had the funeral on a Monday. I missed that day of course she had a pop quiz. Wednesday, she had the same quiz from Monday again. And I wasnt there on Monday to get the information! Had to turn in a blank sheet with my name on it. She said I couldnt make either of them up. So I failed 2 quizzes for a legitimate reason!

for this being a university class, it was ridiculously hard! There was way to much work. My 2 hardest classes were her and chemistry and for it being worth 2 credit hours, it is not worth the work

Nice person. Didnt like teaching style at all. Tends to go too far in detail. Gets a little power-happy too. study and you will do fine. Your final we be over old stuff and lots of new stuff too! yeah its great...

Doc is a good teacher. She understands this isnt everyone's favorite subject, so in her intro class she tries to give you the broad points and not the nit picky details that I've had some do in intro clases. If you become friends with her, you will see a change in the way your grades look for sure.

Dr. B tries to get the student to understand about soils and not just memorize facts. She will explain things over and over until she thinks you understand it if you will ask her. I think she Knows this is a hard subject and really wants the students to do well.

Dr. Branson is very good at anything having o do with soils. She tries hard and will help her students if yu come to her. She is a little unclear sometimes in her teaching but she tries hard to bring a hard subject down to where eveyone can understand it.
