I love Dra. Parrack! She is caring and truly wants you to succeed. I loved this class so much because we got to work with children and built relationships with our peers. She makes you feel very comfortable to ask questions and participate. I learned so much from this class! You do a paper at the end of this class, but it is not hard at all.

Comment:

She's a bit scattered in her teaching style but will meet with you at any time if you have questions. True of most language courses, the homework load is crazy (especially if it's not for your major) and she expects a lot of her students. Has a Spain spanish accent, but it's not terrible. Wonderful lady.

She is a great teacher, she is very nice. Make sure you go to class and interact, and you will be guaranteed a good grade. She makes the class easy to learn and understand, and makes you feel comfortable in the environment.

Dra. Parrack is so passionate about Spanish literature. Class is never boring! However, be aware that Parrack makes you work for an A. Her expectations are high, and she assigns multiple group projects and papers. You will always have homework for this class, but you will always be learning.

Dra. Parrack was a tough professor. The class literally ran the entire 50 minutes, not a minute shorter, not a minute longer. She went fast in class and the tests were not easy. So much VHL before every class unless there was a paper due or a paper copy of homework she gave us.

I didn't learn much from this class. Honestly all she did was confuse me. Throughout the semester she would explain things differently and contradict something she said earlier.

Dra. Parrack is a really nice lady and she's super bubbly and kind. However, her expectations for Spanish Civ are literally impossible to meet. The only reason I survived is because my class bonded and rode the struggle bus valiantly right to the very end. She didn't teach me anything. S/O to the Spanish salt club

Where do I start? She is THE most amazing teacher I've ever had. I was never interested in Spanish before taking her, but now I am minoring in it. For Elementary Spanish I, there are only a few tests and one letter that you have to write. The rest are online activities. Dr. Parrack is incredible and I would definitely recommend her.

Comment:

I love Dr. Parrack. She has a love for Spanish culture that is inspiring, and her knowledge of the language is impressive. Overall she is incredibly nice and helpful, and I was genuinely sad that I don't have her for the next class. Towards the end of the semester she got a little rude, but I might attribute that to the students being sucky.

I really enjoyed Dra. Parrack! I took four years of Spanish in high school, so jumping into Intermediate II as a freshman was pretty scary, but she made the transition very easy. Be sure to read your book before class and DO YOUR VHL! Much of the grade is made of participation, tests, and VHL. Great person and teacher! Would take her again.

Dra. Parrack is amazing. She makes us use our Spanish in a very nurturing and respectful environment. She genuinely cares about her students' success, so if you have a problem with something, she will work with you to get it fixed if you talk to her. I've never had a bad Spanish teacher; I think the language itself just makes people more charming.

Mrs. Parrack is extremely nice and reasonable. Her lectures are entertaining and we did partner work every class period. You do have to write three Spanish compositions for the class, but you are allowed to revise them. She tells you the format of the tests, so if you study, it's really easy to make a good grade.

Dr. Parrack is the best Spanish professor I have ever had, and this was my 5th year of Spanish. She explians what she expects and you are to meet those expectations. Do all of your homework and study a little every week and the class isn't to bad. Also be prepared to participate in class you get a daily grade!

I -love- Dra. Parrack. She's very knowledgeable about Spanish grammar and history. If you take a grammar class, your Spanish should be perfect before you're out. She mainly teaches upper-levels, so she has high expectations. She's very willing to work with you, though. She's like a guardian angel, but be sure to come to class. Ignore bad reviews.

Dr. Parrack is a great professor because she explains the more difficult grammar very well and has realistic expectations for her primarilly English-speaking students. She will effectively break you of your habit of word-for-word translation, and you'll be glad she did.

Dra. Parrack should be voted the kindest, most caring, interested, interesting, devoted, helpful, exciting professor on the planet! She truly wants you to learn Spanish, that is her goal. She wants you to enjoy it and she does everything in her power to assist you. I would have dropped out of school had it not been for this wonderful woman! Do it!!
