Prof. Suzuki loves teaching and entertaining. He cracks jokes 80% of the time. Most of the time he covers material well, though there are days he goes off on a tangent and very little material is covered. He's VERY attentive about attendance. Course load isn't overwhelming. Syllabus and deadlines can be confusing. Check with Suzuki on all of that.

Great contrast to other profs on campus, but goes off topic and wastes a lot of your time. Good insights but confusing syllabus and grading system (no grades at all in the class I took, he just takes a guess at the end of the term). Did well in the class but wouldn't take it if I could go back. If you aren't an English major he won't give you an A.

Professor Suzuki is hilarious and can definitely hold the attention of the class. Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance was a profitable read, although I do wish we had read other books as well. My favorite aspects of the classwork were his reviews on individual papers and his grading system. Both were extremely helpful. Excellent teacher.

Suzuki is the funniest guy you'll ever meet, he gets lost in his stories and loses total track of time!

I survived History of the English Language- barely! This is not an easy prof. There is a lot of memorization involved and the work load is heavy. However, he has a good sense of humor that keeps the class interesting.

I had Suzuki for many classes, including HEL. His crazy comments (which are even better taken out of context) and antics keep students guessing. If you are perceptive though, you will see that there is much more to the man than sarcasm. Now (4 years out of college), he is one of the 3/4 profs who taught me the most about real living, wisdom, etc.

Dr. Suzuki is one of the most goofy profs I have had. He is very funny, mosly because he thinks he is funny...he cracks himself up. He is one of the only profs who can be entirely rude and get away with it.

Susuki is unapologetically in your face about his opinions. His comparisons are always hilariously on target, and he presents the world of literature in an accessable form which not only opens you to the secular mind, but teaches you to discern.
