She's a good professor, and a nice lady. Her tests are ridiculously hard though. It consists mostly of essays and the matching is the thing that fails you. There's a lot of essay writing in her class, 2 pages every class on the reading. Don't expect an A. You'll be lucky to pass.

Prof. Watson really knows her stuff and with her real-life experience and stories, class periods can be really interesting. Sometimes this class seems really long, sometimes it goes by quick, you just have to be prepared to listen. Only problem is that her tests are kind of random and her matching are ridiculously difficult. Everything else is easy

I had Prof Watson for GBK last semester and took her for Anthropology this semester. She is hilarious and really knows her stuff. The papers are really easy 2 pgers, but you need to pay attention to the midterm and final- that's what got me. just study for them and work on that ethnography.

Love Prof Watson! She is funny and a great cook! :D Discussions are good and papers are not difficult as long as you are clear with your thesis. The material isn't hard-its all classical stuff that you pretty much get in high school so just pay attention and be able to back your thesis up with cites/text references.

Great teacher with A LOT of "real-world" experience. Be sure you spell out your theses very obviously in your papers, that pretty much makes your grade. She invited us to her house for dinner!

For the last comment about e-mailed papers: you weren't supposed to e-mail your papers to her and you were lucky that she accepted them at all. Do you realize what a pain it must have been for her to have print those papers out--to do YOUR work for you? I was probably in the same class you were and I felt that she was very forgiving and flexible.

Well, the best I can say is that she was nice. She didn't seem to have a lot of time to discuss my progress in the class. Papers often misplaced. DO NOT E-MAIL YOUR STUFF TO HER! She won't get it. Other then that, project was fun and reading material interesting.

Prof. Watson is truly an awesome teacher! I had her for Anthropology and she was great and so interesting. Even though it's a lot of work, it's not particulary hard as long as you pay attention in class and to what she says. Another tip: however many pages she tells you to write on assignments, write about double that and you'll be fine!

She is really nice and she finds ways to keep you entertained. there are only 6 quizzes and then the final. however, with her grading scale you are usually doing better than you think you are. there is never a dull moment.

Easy class!! Seriously, I didn't do much of the work at all, hardly went to class, and BS-ed through the tests, and I got an A. Of course having the old tests helps A LOT!! Just do the papers, make sure she knows who you are, and go to class (or let someone sign in for you).

I've had Dr. Watson for 5 classes. She has certainly has favorites. I advise everyone that if they want an A to 1) DO THE WORK! It's a lot...a TON of flipping work, but DO IT!, and 2) Make sure she knows your name! Participate in class if possible. She needs to know who you are if you want an A.

She was rough on my term paper on Union City a long time ago. She didn't compromise, nor was she flexible. She was demanding and expected perfection. Wanted more than I could produce. She is "friendly" and that was refreshing in of itself. I did enjoy her class, interaction with me and the students.

Prof. Watson is very nice. She's even invited us to her house for supper one night. She doesn't grade too harshly, but expects you to do the work. The reading is tough, but of course it's going to be; it is GBK.
