Dr. Joe is a pretty good teacher, I definitely respect the man. The discussion board assignments every night M-Th got repetitive, but the class was not mentally challenging. you are also given the ability to express yourselves in the essays. Joe is open to topics for essays, and you are put in peer groups to help one another, a good class overall.

Dr. Argent is a great instructor, he gives you all the tools needed for success you just have to use them. I got an A in his class just working on his material an hour a day, alot of days even less.

My experiecne with Dr. Joe Argent has been femoninal. I have throughtly enjoyed every one of his lectures so far. He is a very entertaining and inteligent man even if he is a little on the eccentric side. His class is a little homework heavy. The class is a litrtle heavy on the papers but the sublect matter intersting enough to a good but about.

Dr. Argent is a great teacher. YES, he gives a lot of homework and lectures a lot but I can actually say I learned something from this class. More than half of the class withdrew but I stuck it out and he gets better as the semester goes on.

He's a nice guy and knows his stuff. Very easy to work with. Provides relatively helpful feedback on essays. Loves to lecture though. Not a hard class, but be aware that the essays can be fairly unspecific when assigned. Go talk to him though, he wants to improve your skills and clarify things without giving it away to you. Overall not too bad.

Avoid this professor at all costs. He is rather pompous and arrogant. Will make you feel like you are beneath him. His lectures are not helpful at all. He will encourage you to come talk to him if you need help, but then will act as if you are burdening him with your questions and respond to each one with a dismissive tone.

I do not recommend this professor. The instructions are not clear at all. The Blackboard for this class is very complex, there are too many places to post assignments. I respect his intelligence, but I was his student and I believe that he forgot that at times. His feedback is not organized and extremely conflicting. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!

Horrible teacher. I had him online and he would ask an opinionated question, and when you gave your opinion it was wrong. He only believed in what he believed in and any other opinions were automatically wrong. No ifs, ands, or buts! Made you feel stupid some days. His instructions were not clear at all. I would NOT recommend this class at all!!!!!

Unless you like talking about what you read for the whole class period, I would avoid taking him. I learned nothing from his lectures. Just read a couple of things for homework and write about it every class period and you should be fine. Textbook will be your best friend because he will rarely discuss new material in class!

Very good teacher. He had a few problems with my papers but he was happy to help in any way possible. Easy class if you just do the work. I had major problems with the one big paper we had at the end of class. Even though it was not perfect, he still gave me an A. Fun class, interesting, and controversial. Wish I could take him again!

I took Dr. Joe 12 years ago and he was awesome.I took every class he taught and got A's in every one.He is a very intelligent person and has expectations of what a college student should be capable of.He is not there to baby you or carry you through class, he expects you to earn your grades.Those with neg. comments have no respect for intelligence.

I found Dr. Argents class to be very boring. He is very soft spoken so if you decide to take his class, sit near the front. I didn't find the class lectures interesting and had to force myself to show up every day. Cool approach to Literature. Not a creative writing class, just document the evidence in the story. Definately easy for those who don't like english.
