BEWARE OF THE STUDY GUIDES, THEY ARE HELLISHLY LONG. When midterms and finals role around he will give you a review packet of every person and event in history that you have learned. There are literally hundred of terms on the guide but on the test there is about 5x less then what is in the guide. So be ready for aimless studying.

Amazing professor! Trully cares about issues that are happening in the world. He is older so he doesn't rely on no technology such as HuskyCT. Lecture Heavy, and the midterm and final are literally what's on the study guide.

Great teacher! Seems tough the first day you meet him, but hes really not. He gives short essay homework assignments occasionally, but he grades very leanetly, do it and you should get an A. Also his exam and final are very straightforward. He is a very passionate professor and really loves what he teaches. He is very nice and Kind

He's the best professor I've had in college so far. I am not that interested in History but his lectures made me like history. He is passionate about what he teaches. His lectures are like a story so it's very easy to remember. Grading criteria is very clear. Just do the work and you'll get an A.

Great professor/ I had him for 3 history classes and he is really passionate about the material. He does get sidetracked sometimes but its still entertaining when he does. Also, he is lenient with due dates and his grading isnt too tough.

The hype is real, seriously the best professor I've ever had. The class really wasn't that hard, just show up, read the texts, and do the short one page essays he assigns and you'll do great. Professor Blatt is pasionate and he really cares about his students, really cool dude, everyone should take a class with Blatt at least once, or many times.

He is a good, quick grader for the most part. I advise you to try to speak in class, it makes him feel like you care. He is a caring, charismatic professor. I would take him again. You only take two tests, which are the midterm and final. Study for these tests, are they are the only ones he gives, and they are fully open ended so study a lot ! :D

Professor Blatt is an amazing professor, probably the greatest I've ever had. It's an honor to learn from him. You learn so much in his lectures, and he tells history in a way- as if he was there. He is a really special guy, if you have the chance definitely take a course with him.

If you go to UConn Stamford, make sure you take a class with Blatt at some point. Best professor on campus. He's won faculty of the year multiple times. I was honored to present him with this year's award. You can get away with not buying the textbook, but Blatt knows the guy who wrote it and got him to give a lecture on campus, so...

best history professor I've ever had. he loves his job and he's goos at it. he assigns writing assignment,they are very easy just skim through the chapter you'll be fine. he's not a hard grader, he really wants to read your thoughts rather than you having just state facts.

I took Professor Blatt for HISTORY 2402, 1400, 3205, 3418 and I even take classes with him beyond my major requirements. Charismatic speaker. Classes are engaging. Inside and outside of the classroom, Professor Blatt is very caring about his students. Take any class with him before you graduate. You won't regret it!!!

Blatt is one of the easier graders in the history department which people take advantage of-witness the # of people in class at 1st day vs mid-semester. Everyone seems to hand in hw at last minute but Blatt gets it all done. He's really kind-not arrogant at all.

Dr. Blatt is the best! If you are a history major, try to take as many classes as possible with him! He's also extremely helpful as an advisor. He's extremely patient and extremely intelligent. Don't miss a chance to pick his brain both in and outside of class! It is pertinent that you do your work and make an effort to get an A in this class.

Dr. Blatt is the best professor at UConn's Stamford campus. He is well prepared for his classes, passionate the material, respectful of his students, and truly wants you to learn. He is a very good lecturer. One of the kindest people you will ever meet.

Comment:

I have taken multiple classes with professor Blatt. I am not a history major, but his lectures were always entertaining. He will also tell you everything you need to know if you take notes. His assignments are easy and he usually will accept late work. Midterm and final are tough, but if you take notes you should be fine.
