Comment:

Great professor, as long as you use the textbook (which is free and written by the professor) you will do well in the class. Took his hybrid course with only one lecture a week and at the end of class we always played games to get extra credit. Very reasonable professor and willing to help you with anything.

Best teacher I ever had! He respects his students and doesn't give so much homework. Always try to help you understand the material. I wish he teaches every course so I would pick him as my teacher for all courses.

Hes a great professor who really knows the material hes teaching. He likes when students participate and really likes talking to and joking with students. This was a great course and if you pay attention and take notes, the class wont be hard at all. The class is lecture-heavy so you have plenty of chances to take notes and ask questions

Bouman is a fantastic person and teacher. If you pay attention to his lectures, you're set. If you don't, his textbook is free online and you could just read it over. He's funny, nice, interesting, and his class is easy! Jeopardy and review games before each exam as well as a few practice quizzes to do at home with plenty of time to complete them.

Prof. Bouman is an amazing teacher I have ever had. He is hilarious and respected he knows so much about the course. He also gives extra credit by playing games in the class about the material that he teaches. The quizzes are sometimes difficult but he helps you through it! I recommend :)

He is the BEST teacher I have ever had for any class my absoulte favorite! Very nice, grading is easy and will help you! The best way to pass his class is to read beforehand, take the practice sets and if you have questions go to his office hours! You are guaranteed to pass! He is also very sensible and makes class interesting!

Prof Bouman is an amazing professor! The textbook we use is written by him and it is online (also free). All the quizzes are online and they are open note, so if you take good notes you do not have to worry about memorizing any concepts. The quizzes are not easy, and you really have to think the questions through, but having your notes really helps

I LOVE PROFESSOR BOUMAN. I am a nursing major interested in healthcare management and I have no background in economics. He is a really easy teacher and cares so much. All his quizzes are open notes, and he makes class fun and gives a lot of extra credit from review jeopardy games. There is no final exam, just a final review paper. TAKE HIM!!!

Prof. Bouman is one of my favorite professors I have ever had!!! I took my first economics class with him and I had no trouble understanding the course materials. I learned SO MUCH about economics in his class and am taking 102 (even though it is not part of my major requirements). He is one of the nicest and funniest teachers, take his class!!

He is amazing. In the online class there are no tests, only practice sets and practice quizzes which you get 2 attempts on and you only need to get a 70% to get full credit. He is very helpful, responds to emails, and his the book is free online which he wrote himself! TAKE HIM!!! Super nice and friendly too.

One of my favorite professors at HCC because he actually cares about each and every student and their grade. If you are not doing well in the class, he takes the time to work with you to bring your grade up. His class is not easy, but if you study, come to class, and read the online text, you will do well. Definitely recommend for any econ class.

Great Professor. I took Macro economics. I will be taking microeconomics with him again. Participation matters, but most importantly attendance. Show up late? your grade will drop. Don't show up to class? your grade will drop. There is no textbook used in his class, he writes his own notes/work. Overall great teacher and def taking his class again.

Free textbook, written by professor! Open-note quizzes, no exams. I found his explanations confusing. Offers lots of extra credit. Read before coming to class and bring questions. If you put in the effort, you will get an A. Incorporates current events and discussions.

Comment:

Take this class! Easy participation discussions, two papers, and three 20 question tests. I failed a paper, met with the professor, and he let me write another paper to make up some of the points. The book is online (free and he is the author). Highly recommend.
