Don't get on his bad side! Don't touch your phone. He is VERY old-fashioned and I liked that. Read and take notes or you will fail the test. He is an awesome guy and deserves more credit than he gets from his students. Sad to see him retire.

RUN!!! I wish someone had told me to run instead of taking him. His tests are unreasonably hard and he asks questions about trivial things like numbers, etc. I'm an A studentHow do I pass nursing classes but not his after hours and hours of studying?! Also, his lectures are long and boring. Take this professor at your own peril. You've been warned!

I fell asleep...barely paid any attention because his voice drones on and on!! However, he is extremely easy if you actually read the book! He doesn't assign home work and all he requires of you is to know the chapter roughly before class. As well, his test are questions from the book so you shouldn't honestly fail! He is so easy but boring!!!!!

He is boring, straight up boring! He reads from the book, directly, and you really don't need to even attend so long as you read the chapter prior to the 4 test you will take, in which they are easy! If you want an easy A, take it. However, no matter how hard I tried, his voice actually LULLED me to sleep....I actually fell asleep

He is a very wise man. One of my favorite teacher he is really like mentor to me. He does not like rude behavior and will point it out If you are being rude. He is helpful, respectful, knowledgeable, and a good man. Took his Sociology then Anthropology class and I didn’t need it.

Literally horrible. I'm in nursing school and this was one of the hardest classes I've taken. This guy is so unclear about everything and is SO RUDE..not to mention extremely boring.

I would not take this teacher again. We would do one chapter in the book a week. He expects you to read the chapter as homework and come to class already taught yourself about the chapter. When you're in class, he reads from the book. (which drove me nuts since we are not in first grade and we all know how to read) Three tests for grades.

I enjoyed being in Prof. Quigley's Soc. 201 class. He was passionate about the topic, and discussed how sociology applies in everyday life. He used great examples to highlight concepts read in the text. Quigley is a no-nonsense teacher, but also has a great sense of humor and he genuinely cares about his students learning.

He lectures the ENTIRE class. The only grades are from three tests. Questions on the test are confusing. He doesn't use time efficiently and repeats EVERYTHING he said in the last class every time just a little bit faster. I don't recommend him if you want an A or an interesting class.
