Was not an online class but changed due to covid.... so much work. In class he rambled about absolutely nothing (politics). He does care about his students but takes himself to seriously... its OCC not Harvard law. He picks on the quiet ones in an effort to help them but doesnt realize its making them even more quiet. He means well...

Comment:

Lectured the entire time during every class, but gives only about 4 assignments the entire semester. Really have to make sure to study from the textbook for exams or else you will fail. Has a lot of experience in the crim field but is difficult to get in contact with outside of class. Overall great guy, but his teaching style isnt for everyone.

Awesome Professor. As long as you show up, pay a little attention to his lectures and read your book, you'll pass. Gives little to no homework which helps a ton with other classes.

He was an okay professor. I had him for law enforcement and intro to criminal justice. He doesn't give out much assignments he does like 3 or 4 which is unfortunate if your not good as quizzes or tests. HIGHLIGHT the book with the terms and he gives a guide to study which helps you on what to study.

I had Kirchhofer for Intro to law enforcement and Intro to criminal justice he was a very good professor, yes he lectures but its all relevant and he is passionate about his work. As long as you read your chapters, highlight and take notes his tests and quizzes are not hard at all. He is very nice and will meet you halfway to pass.

This professor literally talked about anything but what were on the exams, he likes to go on tangents and most of the time were not even interesting. I will not be taking his class again

Very nice man. Long lectures that go on tangents (not always boring ones, though), but tests are easy when studying from textbook's key terms. Throws in a few easy written assignments that help bump up your grade.

Assignment wise, everything was relatively easy. But he was not helpful AT ALL. He did not respond to any emails or calls during the course and he finally returned a concerned call AFTER THE COURSE WAS ALREADY FINISHED. Pretty easy A as long as you don't want ANY student/teacher interaction or help.

Didn't keep class under control often became very loud and chatty, and it was very hard to pay attention. Only gives a few tests, about 4, and no other assignments. So you best get good grades or you'll be failing!

Comment:

Mr. Kirchhofer will be one professor I will never forget! He is a great guy and made his criminal investigation assignment a lot of fun! The lecture was a little boring sometimes but definitely worth it. I will never forget him or his colleague Mr. Austin as they both made my time at O.C.C a very memorable one! Thanks again Kirch and Austin!

He was ok, he talks a lot. He gets off subject and it's hard to learn what you're supposed to. He grades tougher against people who actually want to get into law enforcement. There weren't many assignments just a few test/quizzes which were difficult, impossible to bring up your grade if you fail one or a few of them.

He's alright, I personally didn't really care for his teaching technique. He has a lot of knowledge in CJ, but I felt he moved way too fast. Tests and quizzes were difficult and didn't assign many other things to help bring up your grade if you fail.

Easy teacher, talks alot. You might fall asleep in his class, but there are some funny topics. Definitly get your book and highlight it. He also gives you specific topics to study before the test, so there's no confussion. I am taking him again this fall, he is that good.

Kirch is the best. He is always willing to help out in whatever you need. Very Easy Going! Although, he will give you the respect you give him. Retired Trooper, very interesting and great real life experience. I would reccommend! A+++

Funny Teacher, always keeps class interistind. Interactive with class and always helpful. I would take another class with him anytime!
