Professor hays is an exceptional teacher with patience, kindness and ability to set your mind at ease. In the midst of all this COVID-19 madness, my world was turned upside down, but Professor Hays took the time to see that I was trying and she offered me help and extensions. A fabulous educator! Great class!

Gives good feedback and shes a pretty quick grader. I liked her a lot, my only hang up was when I asked her to walk me through a specific homework problem I couldnt get past, she referred me back to a YouTube video. If you show that you are trying , do all of the work on time, and do any extra assignments, you will do fine.

this class was all online, she just walked around to monitor that you were on task and doing what you were supposed to. i mean she helped if you needed it, but it seemed kind of impersonal to me, idk , not her fault though she was okay.

This was the first year MAT037 was provided at AACC. Math has always been my favorite but after having her I hate it. She never taught properly, no extra credit assignments (not really needed), would walk away and laugh if you didn't get the problem. You have to have a 100% on everything in order to take the final and it was on her time. 2/10 class

I was hesitant to take this class at first from reading some of the comments however, this was a relatively easy class. TIP: There are unlimited attempts in completing the chapter review assignments so try to get an A in all of them to help your overall grade.

This ONLINE class can be very difficult at times A couple of times there were problems introduced in the homework that are not mentioned in the textbook She had notes for each chapter we went over,posted videos and held online sessions over material She won't reply quickly to your emails Tests are easy if you go over practice tests once or twice

i hate math and i am so pissed i have to take this class again. If you arent all that great at it do NOT take it online. Professor Hays was helpful. She even opened some assignments for me to redo and extended some due dates, and offered to meet up. It was my fault i failed i just couldnt understand the material. going to take her again

Didn't reply to anything, unless she had to grade it. Answered none of my questions. Assigns normal math homework and writing assignments. Doesn't seem to fully understand how website works... Clear lecture notes provided, thank goodness. Very difficult class

I left her class with a Solid C (Just Barely). I am very bad a Math and the last thing that I wanted to do was take an Online Math Class. I did ALL of the extra credit and that is how I passed. Her class was hard and I had to use almost all of the free tutoring time through the college just to try to understand this weirdo version of Math.

This professor changed my mind about taking online courses. I found her to be unhelpful, unresponsive, and uncaring of her online student's success. Out of all of the 'lessons' there was possible 2 that her voice was heard. All video lectures were just taken from YouTube. I will not take another online course from the Math Dept. Horrible.

Kathy Hays is teaching a math course but treats it like an english course. There are papers due every week, and I personally lost 25% on a paper because I "used the wrong word" even though she agreed later that "what you said can also be right." Doesn't make any sense and it really isn't worth your time. I thought it would be all math. I was wrong.

Prof. Hays is very nice. However, if you are not a self-motivated,I do not recommend this class. She is not the quickest at returning emails, which is a problem. A lot of things I worked through on my own before she ever got back to me. Her grading can be tough, as she is very specific on what she wants in you shown work.

Great teacher. Explains very well and in different ways because not everyone learns the same. Trys to keep the class lively. I really like how she takes time at the beginning of each class to answer questions. She gives plenty of chances to make up homework you've missed on my math lab and gives extra credit.

this professor is awful! please do not ever take her! she grades the homework like they are tests and even if you give the right answer she will mark it as incorrect because it was not the right wording. She never keeps up with graded assignments, i had to remind her to grade my assignments. also the review has nothing to do with the final.

The material is somewhat challenging for a self-taught online class but interesting. The workload is manageable. She is extremely quick to respond and is available every week for help via virtual classroom. Syllabus seems a little intimidating but the reality is a positive, thorough and timely professor.
