He's really great professor. I enjoyed going to his class because he's really funny. Even though I did end with a C+, my whole class including myself have improved since the beginning of the semester. He is a pretty tough grader but he tries to make the class and essays interesting. In total, 8 essays and 2 quizzes.

Took him this summer and I haven't for once regretted it. Since we meet 4 times a week we take a quiz 2 days after watching a movie. The class is literary what it says, "You read fictions and watch the film adaptation". Its more of comparing and contrasting. Best class I have ever taken, fun class and an easy A

Take him! This is coming from someone who hates writing. I got an A in his class. He is very clear on what he expects in his papers. Go to office hours and put effort in the papers and you will pass the class. However, he does have strict rules like attendance wise. I learned so much in his class and my writing improved tremendously.

I had him this past summer & I actually enjoyed it! This is coming from someone who hates English. Anyway, his class is not the easiest, but he tells you what he's looking for in your paper. He teaches you about grammar & syntax which was helpful. Also, he keeps the class interesting, unlike some other English Composition profs. I highly recommend.

ENG104 much more thought provoking than ENG103 but don't get lazy when you're enjoying reading the novel... if you go to his office hours he'll help you fix up your papers. Focused more on critical thinking than writing technique this course. Highly recommended.

Professor Catalano is not as difficult as everyone makes him sound; it is by no means an easy class but these English Comp classes never are-they are looking for improvement from whatever level you are at so you have to work to show the improvement. The topics are very interesting and the required reading is the most interesting I have encountered
