I had him for two classes last semester. There is literally nothing negative I have to say about either class. If you have a chance to take one of his classes you will not regret it. His classes are easy because he is a good teacher. There is still plenty of work you have to do, he is just really, really good at making you understand how to do it

Comment:

Very fair, very easy to follow. One of the friendliest professors at OCC. Has tons of education and coding experience. Often recommends cool online resources for programmers and students in general. Most tests are via blackboard & at home. Final was multiple choice. Easy A if you know the material, moderate A otherwise.

Comment:

Mr. Nowak's class is difficult. He drives his students to do their very best and then asks more. You think you don't know how to do something but then he reassures you that you really do know--he forces you to think about how everything fits together. He will wear you down, but you really learn more than this class is designed to teach.

I learned so much from this professor. I didn't know anything about web design before this class, and know I feel like I want to do this for a living. Mr. Nowak makes his students believe they can do anything. His class is not easy. And he pushes you pretty hard, but in the end you learn a lot. He is the best teacher I have had.

Comment:

Mr. Nowak (he simply likes being addressed as David), is an outstanding teacher. He works in the industry, and he brings his passion into the classroom. He is a born teacher, and needs to be teaching full time. I have had some terrible CIS teachers at OCC, and many of them are permanent faculty; it's a shame that OCC doesn't hire Mr. Nowak. A+

I took Dave for a communications class upon returning to college later in life. This man not only taught an incredibly active class, but offered me a lot of professional advice. He even made me think about writing a book about my life experiences. He is not hard as long as you keep up with the research project.

Professor Nowak is an excellent teacher. He make a somewhat dry topic come to life and challenges you to think outside the box. He is willing to help his students in anyway possible and is very kind.

I took this guy a long time ago and still remember how much I liked him! He encouraged people getting fired up and arguing about religion. As an atheist, I was always very busy, but he never held it against me. The man thrives on religious controversy. Great class!!! If you are uptight, don't do it.
