Honestly a horrible class. Only take this class if you are a GEO major because it is definitely harder than a 100 level class and you won't understand anything. Her lectures are completely random and have absolutely nothing to do with the exams or homework. She is an easy grader, find a group of people to work with and it will be better for you.

Not specific when it comes to ANY assignment. Very unfocused in lecture. Horrible at communication and email outside class. TA teaches when she is gone, which is a lot. Taught NOT like a 100 level course, taught WAY harder with details too in depth for a 100 level course. Avoid this class in general, and this professor if you are not a GEO major.

she is super unprepared and all over the place. the tests are very hard and she is never clear about what is going on and expects everyone just to magically know what she is talking about. sometimes she would just not show up to class and have her TA teach who was also no help due to language barriers. treats the class like a higher level class.

She is a nice lady and clearly loves geology. She talks a lot about her trips and experiences, and that makes it a bit more interesting. HOWEVER, she does expect more from this class than a typical 100 level class. Her tests are very difficult, and inconsistent with class material. You really need to love geologyreading txtbook to enjoy the class

Class is super hard! Hardest class I have taken! The professor is a nice person, but expects way to much out of a 100 level class. The lectures didn't really help with the test. Good thing the tests are only 35% of the grade. Though i liked the professor as a person, i would not take another class by her. Good luck if you have her!

stupidest teacher i have ever had. her tests are impossible, and she is never there to help. She never follows through with things that she says she will do, example: putting grades up so you know how youre doing going into the final. She is such an airhead with things like this. VERY forgetful and confusing. The material itself is rather dumb too.

I hated this class. I am a teaching major and have to take it and it stunk! She flat out said every hour you spend studying is what you'll get on the test. They were hard. I had to read to comprehend it. I would study 7 hours and got a C. It's a good thing your lab grade can boost it. Try a different professor if you can.

notes don't help on the tests. she says you don't have to come bc she doesn't take attendance, but she gives quizes like everyday, so you can't skip and do well. i thought the tests were kind of hard and she's a real **** if she sees you talking during class. i don't suggest her to anyone.
