The worst art class I have ever taken. She didn't really teach... she referred us to some rather unhelpful videos with basically inaudible voice and told us to deal with it. She's a harsh grader and has unrealistic expectations for a 101 class.

Easy A, everything is worth 100 points, even the extra credit, so you can basically skip a whole project and do an easy extra credit to pass. Super nice old lady, reminds me of a sweet old grandma. Heard she wasn't that good for humanities, but for art she is the bomb

I thought this class was going to be about popular culture and it's not at all. Material is not interesting whatsoever. She makes you watch stupid films and be prepared ready to read A LOT. Her grading is very hard and she marks you down a lot if you don't specifically say what she wants you to. Would not recommend at all.

I took this class thinking I would have fun but to me it was boring. She has a specific way that she wants your work and if its not done her way you get marked off. I personally do not think anyone should receive a C or B in an art class or in class work when they are legitimately trying just because its not up to her standards or skill.

Easy fun class! She is extremely nice and she understands not everyone is that good at art. She is always willing to help. Class went by quickly. Such a nice teacher, I would take it again!

I took Pop Culture online and this class is not what you think - it's not today's music and movies and celeb gossip. The concepts are hard and her expectations for grading are very high. You really have to focus a lot on all of your work, going above and beyond. You MUST have the textbook and must keep up with weekly deadlines or you won't pass.

First of all, drawing is practically useless when it comes to Graphic Design at Ferris. She is one of the worst teachers ever. If your artistic style does not mirror hers, she will not like it or understand it. Eventhough I could not draw, I did recieve an "A," and that was only because I am a cute guy and laughed at listen to all her stories.

Nothing you learn in this class will apply to anything in our major. If you aren't good at drawing, you won't get much better. We learned 1, 2, and 3-point perspective, which helped me draw buildings, but not people, or anything I'll regularly have to illustrate for layouts. Mrs. V herself is a good artist, but she was rude and pissy 1/3 the time.

Graphic design majors beware, this class is pointless and by the second assignment you'll be wondering why your taking this in the first place. Even the other GRDE instructors have said that the class is pointless to take seeing as it has nothing to do with our major. Lynette is a nice woman, however horrible professor.

great person, horrible teacher, if you didn't take her advice when she critiqued your thumbs it wouldn't be graded above a C. Very unclear what she wanted half the time, quite boring, the type of class where you sit there and think 'why do I need to know this?' I will forever dislike 1, 2, and 3 point perspective. If you dont need it dont take it!

This class is generally enjoyable. It is not too bad of a class for someone who enters into the Graphic Design program and has no prior art background. As far as the class relevance go in relation to the major, even the Seniors in the program mentioned it as an irrelevant course. Even though, I am learning better art comprehension skills.

This is a really easy class. I got an A in it no problem... but the material is so boring and irrelevant. Honestly, I don't think anyone will ever need to know what the translation of "Godzilla" is. Attendance is mandatory, but absences can be made up easily. She's kind of a weird hippie lady, but the class still manages to drag on all hour.

An easy A!! There is a ton of reading needed to be done. Not necessary though. She gives you the test questions a week before the test! Get the answers from buddies ahead of time and your good to go. Don't worry about the grade on the take home test, she lets you fix 1 of the 6 questions for full credit. I didn't put hardly any time into class, A-!

Watched a ton of movies that really didn't have anything to do with what we were learning and she relates everything to ****s in the first 2 weeks. After that, I didn't take the class very seriously. You learn more about china and japan than amer. pop culture. Online quizzes that you can take twice. also gives test questions a week before.
