Dr. G was a very solid teacher. For being head of the Math Dept, he sure put forth a ton of time to help outside of class. This scientific computing course was pretty tough for me as I knew nothing about coding before taking the class, but it was really rewarding to keep with it and put in the extra effort to finish the class strong.

Calc 3- A very good professor. Very sincere and sends genuine replies to every single email (a lot of professors couldn't care less, but he does). The material REALLY is not THAT difficult, if you study a decent amount. Tests not bad, but still yield the occasional silly/simple mistake! Ah. Anyway, thanks for an excellent conclusion to calculus.

Serious business. Very concerned about fairness - curves the homework up, the exams down. Lectures straight from his own book for this class - the last chapter is pretty unpolished atm but may change for later classes. Take his class seriously and you'll do well and learn much more than you had expected to.

He is the best math teacher that Ive had so far at college and that is really saying something. Homework was due everyday but after you get used to that and it promotes a good work ethic for later. He can really teach the material and he is a really nice guy and can be fun sometimes too. He tests are fair and he grades fair also.

(those are # of diffeq and linalg?) If you want to learn the material, take this class, if you want a no work a, look else were. Best math teacher I have ever had. He has a true passion to teach and wants you to learn the material to its fullest extent. This means test are hard, but are fair. Probally one of the smartest people you'll ever meet.

The symbols, definitions, and his style are a bit intimidating right off the bat for those that never seen it. After a while, you get used to his teaching style and find out he is well worth the time, particularly when using diffy q for later classes. Very caring, if you show effort to wanting to learn, he will definately respond.

HARD!! You are forced to have an excellent grasp on the material. His exams are easy in comparison to how difficult they could be, but still tough. Very caring about your education and willing to help. Not recommended if you have a lot of credits already that semester. I'd be gald to be his student if I were only taking 12 credits.

Hes a good guy, but don't expect to do well if you don't do the work. his quizes will burn you if you don't know what you are doing really well. he grades hard, but does have a nice curve/ajustment at the end... smart guy, sometimes a bit above my head

The man lacks sense when trying to explain things other than math. I remember one time he tried to explain what a comic strip was, I mean WTF! He has a keyboard with inverted **** for typing. He also types very loudly durring exams. Very strange.

He knows way too much to be teaching just a basic Calculus class. He does try to explain everthing in depth. We WILL be smarter than any TI-89 after this class. He got helpfulness points b/c he does have office hours.

First time with this class in 2 years. Knows too much for your own good. Expects you to understand it like he does. Wants you to know more than a TI-89. If you don't understand something, he is understanding and tries to help. Lots of HW, quizes.
