WORST TEACHER EVER!! he never shows up late, he looses students exams and then asks the student to redo them, he makes everything harder than it should be and his grading is HORRIBLE! im an A student and i failed his class, oh and on the day of our final he showed up WITHOUT the final!

I took survey of math with him he is always late doesn't take attendance and one time he showed up with 5 minutes left in class it was horrible he is very boring and even worse because he teaches math. I have fallen asleep in his class using my computer. Don't take his math class

Kotzen is a terrible professor. He is always late, spends half the class off topic, barely teaches, and is senile! You don't have to go to class to pass. He is boring, hard of hearing, doesn't answer questions, doesn't teach class, grades inconsistently and isn't worth your time or money!!!

The class meets 3 times a week and I went once just to get homework assignments, which he doesnt even collect. I tought myself everything just by reading the book. He's at least 15 mins late to class every day so there isn't a point to going to class anyway. Very easy A though. I'm bad at math but the stuff he teaches is very easy

Worst professor iv'e had at worcester so far. he sucks, I actually used to like math until I took his class. He expects you to know things he doesn't even teach. He always shows up late every class with his clothes all messed up and weird stains all over his clothes, kinda weird. Not sure I want to know what he does before class

I honestly just did not like this professor. He never took attendance, he was always at least 5-10 minutes late. He gives homework, but never grades it and your grade is dependent on blue books. His tests are not really hard, but he always makes mistakes in grading and takes about a month to pass back exams.Be prepared for classes of boring stories

OK, so he is definitely very boring, and he goes off on tangents and tells the same jokes time after time, but it's so worth it to get the easy A. His tests are easy (and there's only four including the final), he never collects homework, and he doesn't take attendance. He gives good notes and is a nice guy, too.

Kotzen is one of the worst teacher's I've ever had. He goes off in tangents for a large portion of class talking about Leitrim's a great deal! I took a night class with him and he didn't keep my interest at all.

Took class over the summer. Very easy material. He does tend to tell the same stories over & over again. But it wasn't a bad class. Quizes and tests were very easy if you have any math background. A bit boring, but I would take another class with him.

GO BY THE BOOK. Do not go by his notes. As long as you are studying with the book you will be all set. The class is boring.... thats all there is to it. He only teaches about 15 minutes each class and the rest is him telling stories allready told in past classes that have absolutly nothing to do with math.

The easiest math to fill your distribution requirements. It's pretty boring, and he does tell you the same jokes every class (ask if his cat and dog get along), but it is pretty easy and he is a nice guy. Take it over the summer.
