Brodeur is a very talented professor and is very helpful when you ask for advice. However, his Drawing I class is difficult. You may spend a two hour class period working on one drawing, and near the end, he may come up to you and erase 3/4 of it because something is off scale. Difficult grader, class makes drawing more of a science than creative.

I took painting with Prof. Brodeur and I have grown so much as an artist in his class. He gives really great feedback and helps you learn from your mistakes. He does spend more time lecturing than most art professors, but it will feed into your paintings. Very kind and passionate about teaching and art.

Brodeur is the cutest tiniest man you've ever seen. He is very kind and cares deeply for his students. His lectures, however, are very long and windy, and sometimes he talks a little too much. You will need to put in a considerable amount of work outside of class. (WARNING: I bought the absolute bare minimum supplies required, and I spent $350.)

Cutest little thing ever. He will make you work and he grades hard but it worthwhile BECAUSE YOU LEARN! He sometimes comes across as hard to talk to but that's mainly because students are afraid to talk to their professors as people. Joke around with him and do your work and he'll appreciate it. One of the best.
