Dr. Withers-Wilson is probably the sweetest person you will ever meet. She is a wise and respectful professor that will work with you to improve your acting. However, she will know if you don't make an effort to improve, and I have heard that she tends to pick favorites so be aware of that. Otherwise, I had a great time.

There are a lot of people who love Nan. I went it with great expectations. She is very helpful in class and knows how to be clear. Unfortunately, I also not watched her not only pick favorites, but also be incredibly degrading and downright cruel to fellow students. Big turn off. She is not my favorite.

She certainly has her favorite students, but I liked her. She's challenging, engaging and thought provoking. Participate and you're golden. She gets nit-picky about grammar in papers so beware of missing commas or run on sentences on papers AND exams, she'll knock off 10-20 points for it.

Nan is freaking amazing. She takes an interest in the progress of each student and does not candy coat her critiques, but is never mean. She knows what she's talking about and is great at imparting her knowledge. Can be a bit short sometimes, but is overall a good natured lady.

The best teacher I have ever had. I have been in the professional world of theatre for awhile now, and I still will recall things Nan told me and share them with others. She held me to a higher standard, and although hated her for it sometimes, it has paid off. All my love Nan!

Nan was tough at first but then I had a conversation with her during her office hours and that cleared things right up. At first I was struggling but now I find that the class is much easier and fun. If your interest in theatre/acting/etc is real and you ain't no poser from the poser mobile commercials then you'll like Nan. DS&TP + VD 4LIFE

You're a not a true Loyola Thespian until you've had the Nan Withers Experience. Never have I seen such a soft spoken gal rip people a new one so eloquently. But its worth it...the class is mostly reading from scripts and watching movies anyway, with a few difficuly tests and papers. TAKE THIS CLASS
