The first lecture was, "Don't expect an A in my class." If you pay attention to "his methods", you will do fine. Mr. ONeill has a set view on expectations. The grading is tough, but it is only helping you to succeed. Furthermore, he is inconsistent with lectures and hard of hearing. Composition is based on the teachers own perspective.

Worst teacher ever. I never got an F in life before, he was the first teacher to give me an F in an essay. He doesn't even pity you on encourage you all he does his sit in class with his old ass and fail the wrong people!!! Worst class ever.

Mr. O'Neill is a good teacher. He makes his lessons clear, and I think he is kinda laid back. He grades tough, because he wants you to do well. I also think he understands how boring and tough English can be, so he is pretty chill.

O'neil is a hard grader! In Comp 107 you should be learning all about grammar. O'neil did not teach any of that. Therefore, I suffered in Comp 110. Also, he is old and just makes you write 14 papers. He does not explain them very well either. Do not take him!

I had Mr.O'Neil and the class WAS NOT HARD, you can ask as many questions as you want and he will answer every one of them without making you feel like an idiot. He has a sense of humor and if you treat him like a person and joke around with him, he will REALLY warm up to that. We had a great class and I highly recommend Mr. O'Neil

Steve O'Neill is a very tough grader. Don't be surprised if you get a low grade on a paper you may have gotten an A on in high school. However, he does allow students to repeal grades, which he may raise at his discretion. Also, he gets mad if you are late or have to use the bathroom during class. I do not advise taking a class with him.

I almost dropped the course, but I'm so glad I didn't. I had an issue with him early on, but I found that talking to this man is the key! He's a great teacher and really loves what he does. He tries to be fair and understanding, but he's not a mind reader. If you think he grades unfairly, tell him. He'll work with you!

The material was over-complicated, his grading is extremely opinionated. I currently attend a major university, and even the most difficult professors are not as unreasonble as this animal. He believes that his analyses of literary texts are ideal. He is pedantic, he has issues with semantics, he is inconsiderate, and completely ignorant.
