Comment:

Olga is a dream teacher! She is so funny and really cares about her students. This course is hard but she helps you with anything you need. Some people say her accent is hard to understand, but I had no problem with it! I love everything about her! She is so respectful towards students and helps me with anything at anytime of day.

Comment:

Dr. Kopp is a professor that really cares about her students. However, THIS CLASS WAS DIFFICULT. I ended up with an A, but I spent hours upon hours each day studying for this class. She is always available outside of class. I had other friends taking BIOL 1610 at the same time, and their prof/classes were MUCH easier. Something to consider.

Comment:

I love Dr Kopp! I would not recommend her class though. She states there is no busy work but I was swamped. There are pre-class and post-class quizzes, homework assignments, in class clicker quizzes, in class group assignments, surveys, exams, etc. The classwork was extensive. However, she was generous with her time and is a very kind professor.

Comment:

Professor Kopp has been one of my favorite professors! She truly cares about her students, and actually wants you to succeed. As long as you do the work, just reach out to her and she will work with you to ensure you understand topics and succeed. I would definitely recommend her!

Olga is Amazing! I knew practically nothing about Biology, but she helped me go from knowing zilch to passing a college course that was intended for biology Majors. She is a funny lady who really truly cares about her students. Love her! The bad reviews are likely from people who didn't do the work. If you don't do the work, you won't pass (duh)

Professor Kopp truly wants to see her students succeed and offers a lot of extra credit opportunities and wonderful resources for success. Her lectures arent very organized so some concepts can be difficult to understand but shes more than willing to help.

She was a good professor and very willing to help you succeed. However, she teaches at a very difficult level. In order to really do well in her class, you have to have a really solid and base understanding of biology. If you don't I would take an easier professor.

Professor Kopp by far the most caring and best professor I've ever had. She is the reason why I am on my current research project, why fell in love with biology, why I am now a biology tutor, and she taught me how to test and study well. She has changed my life! I learned SO much in her class. It is a difficult course, but it prepares you SO well.

I love Professor Kopp, she is one of the best professors I have ever had! She wants her students to learn and understand, not just pass. If you want to learn take her class, it will prepare you for following classes. Just do the reading and stay caught up on your work and you'll easily pass.

Dr. Kopp is the best professor I've had thus far in school! She truly cares about all her students and wants you to succeed! She is an absolute genius when it comes to biology and she does everything she can to prepare you for her tests. If you need help just ASK and she will be there. Tons of extra credit and resources to help you through.

This class was HARD. There is a lot of reading, a lot of studying, and a lot of difficult material. However, Dr. Kopp is one of the most caring and intelligent professors I've ever had. She answers your questions and genuinely wants you to succeed. This class was a lot of work, but you definitely learn a lot.

Olga emphasizes "Think, pair, and share", meaning that you get to try and solve a problem, then work with others. She loves participation and cooperation. She gives clear examples on the board and gives plenty of online resources for students to rely on. She gives great simple applications to what we are learning and loves to draw it out.

Olga really cares about her students and does her best to help us with class and general college success and opportunities. She will answer questions you have. She LOVES participation, if you don't like to comment, ask/answer questions in class you will have a hard time understanding material. She is by far one of the best professors I have had!

350 characters is not enough to say how amazing Dr. Kopp is, literally. She is a wealth of knowledge and wants you to succeed. Tests are only hard because she wants you to apply the knowledge she gives you, but she truly cares about her students. I learned so much, and this prepared me greatly for later classes.

Professor Kopp was outstanding! She wanted each and every one of her students to succeed and was willing to help in anyway that she could & was very in depth about explaining things. All around the best professor i've had. She also goes out of her way to remember her students names which means a lot. She made a difficult course enjoyable.

She was so willing to help her students. Loved her enthusiasm for the subject. Need to come to class and take notes to pass. Assignments were useful and helped to understand the subject. Her accent is hard to understand sometimes but you get used to it. She loves her students and wants them ALL to succeed

Pro. Kopp is so amazing. I absolutely loved her class. It is difficult but most students in this class are going to med or dental school anyway so we really have to learn it. She is inspirational and kind. Will work with you during office hours on whatever you need. Always emails back. Make sure to read the modules!!!

Comment:

Dr. Kopp is so caring and really helps her students succeed. The tests are challenging but if you attended class you should know the material. The in class questions are a great assessment for your level of knowledge on the material and prep for tests. She is great. Her Spanish accent is totally understandable. Classes were enjoyable.
