Decastro is a great teacher! She's a bit ditzy, but she's fun. Homework is not graded, but it is a good review. Anytime I've had a problem, Decastro has always been MORE than willing to help. I would definitely recommend her! The only grades are sporadic quiz grades ( so be there!) & the three exams & the final exam. Extra credit points available.

Very nice woman. She teaches the best she can, which is hard when the class has over 200 students. Go to her office hours and she is very helpful. She also makes little jokes in class, which are usually funny. Go to class, pay attention and do the homework (which isn't required, just for practice) and you will do fine.

The class is pretty easy and she is really nice, but she is not the best teacher. She doesn't really teach the lessons until after the assignment is due, and she isn't very good at explaining things. Sometimes she tends to talk around what she's trying to say, but never get to the point. But if you had calc in highschool, you should be fine.

Way to kill my GPA. Makes you do the assignment and then explains how to do it the next lesson. Very backwards. Boring too. She had a history of having a high A rate in her class, but that was before the department standardized the tests. There went all the A's she would brag about..

i really hated this class. she is a very nice lady but if you didnt have calc in highschool youre screwed. she doesnt explain things well and the book isnt the best at explaining either so it makes it difficult. though if you already know a lot of math its pretty easy. she gives extra credit so you do well on homework and quizzes

She is really bad at explaining things. It is really hard to focus and understand what she is saying even when you really try. If you are not a math genius don't take her class... but she is a really nice lady. Just a bad teacher.

she's super-nice, but sometimes she makes things sound more complicated than they are...very lenient, tests are pretty easy, never takes up homework. does have assigned seating, though. passes out candy after tests.
