Comment:
Morelock was a decent teacher, but it was a hybrid class and the majority of work was done online. It went too fast, but he cared about the class succeeding. You definitely have to put the effort in, it is STATS! I would take this professor again, but only in the 16-week course, nothing shorter.

The concepts of the class wasn't difficult but the amount of work needed to complete the course is tedious. There will be something due everyday and you will get 4 day break in between sections. Chapter homework took me 1 - 4 hours to complete. Final consists of the exam questions so take notes on those if possible. Helpful professor but tedious.

Prof. Morelock is a great professor, however the subject itself is not easy. You need to do your part in order to understand it and do good, he will help you if you ask. I took the eight week class, but I would not recommend it if you are taking other challenging classes during the same semester. I enjoyed this class

I took the 8 week course online and it was very organized in the layout of the curriculum. Downside is a mandatory $100 fee to access online book, exercises, quizzes and exams. There are videos also that explain the concepts better within the e-book. Teacher was able to explain somethings clearly and quick at responding to questions.

Lectures were an absolute waste of time. You still have to go since there is a quiz every week. Patrick is a cool guy but his teaching style in summer will do nothing for you. He doesn't throw too many curve balls in the quizzes though. Exams are very hard. Best thing you can do is to work hard at learning all the material online and on your own.

Class was Hybrid. All work done within the Launchpad site - horrible! As far as the teaching style, due to being a summer course only 4 weeks long, it was too much information being taught in a short period of time. One extra day would have made the lecture better, rather than covering 2 chapters in one class period.

It's just okay. 8 weeks & online. The syllabus is straight forward. The homework can take several hours to accomplish, which can be exhausting (especially if work) since an assignment is due everyday. It was annoying that the program we work from tends to malfunction at times. Only one hour is given to take the final (which was difficult for me).

I took an online classs and there is no communication with the professor. You have to teach yourself which is really hard when they assignemnets take hours to do. I wouldn't take this class again with the same professor.

I took the online class and actually had to look up the professors name in order to rate him. He's practically non-existent. If you're not good at learning from a book then don't take this class because you won't have help. You have multiple attempts for every quiz and he drops the lowest 2 scores. 4 exams, 1 attempt at each. Exams are 60% of grade

The material is easy enough, however the STAT portal site we use is nothing but problems. I'm not the only one with issues! Other students have posted complaints in my class as well. I had trouble with one of the chapters, the professor isn't very helpful at all in elaborating or explaining anything.

Easy class if you work for it. 4 exams timed(one attempt) 2 hours about 30 questions multiple choice. Quizzes easy (3 attempts), homework (3 attempts) multiple choice. Take it.

Before any one jumps to conclusions, I received an A. Horrible communication from the professor insane work load for 8 week course, makes you perform three sections in a week and then gives you a week off (instead of giving more time). Uses third party website which constantly crashes. Do not take this course unless you are prepared for a migraine.

Such an easy class taken through Stats Portal. Seriously, if you can't pass this class then just drop out of college now. I took the 8 week Fall course and passed with an A. Very little heard from professor, but just do the assignments and you'll be fine.

All you have to do is find the right tutor (anyone who regular goes to the Math Resource Center at the Cheyenne knows who I speak of) and have him basically run through the assignmentstests for you. Quizzes are exactly the same as the pre-tests, but sometimes the Apply Your Knowledge work is way longer than a regular homework assignment should be.

Hybrid class that is easy to get through. Problem is, it is basically like teaching yourself. Classes don't really teach you anything. Teacher simply goes through powerpoint slides. Not a good class if you learn by being taught. The teacher does make the online work very easy to get through. You just don't learn the concepts very well in this class

Great teacher! This was a hybrid class so everything was done online but we had in person class (attendance optional) to cover each chapter. Stats can be a tough subject, and he does well to minimize the complicated aspects. Easy to contact through email if any questions. One of the best stats professors at CSN.

took this 8 week class in the summer, I would recommend taking Mr. Morelock, even if you don't do so well on the exams, but do well on the assignments ( which you have 3 chances to get right)you should be fine. I think if he see's you are trying, he takes that into consideration. I was so surprised in the end and more than happy!

Took online class...in order to get a good grade you need to work for it. There is no extra credit offered so make sure to do well on all assignments and exams. There's a total of four exams, weekly homework and quizzes. Read the book and do practice exercises.

I took him for online spring '10. You must have at least 4 hours to study if not do not expect a good grade. 4 Exams, 2 chances on homework, and 2 chances on quizes both once a week. homework and quiz are easy its the quiz you have to worry about. don't expect him to help, but its easy if have the time to study. I recommend if you have the time.

I took Mr. Morelock's class online. Everything is done through statsportal, It is easy to use, the only small problem is once test/homework is due, you can not review it later. Mr. Morelock was great, he answered my emails extremely fast. If you are going taking this (or any) class online, be prepared to study! Don't be lazy and you will do great.
