Comment:

Expectations are not clear. I had to get a few low marks to eventually find what she looks for in a response. She usually replies quickly to emails which is great when I was confused about a task (which happened a lot). Polyzoi is a kind person but her lectures are dull and she doesn't write anything down so sometimes students miss some key points.

Comment:

Polyzoi's Learning Theory class was a solid class. She is very organized and time conscious. The final exam required you to read all of the assigned readings which was A LOT OF READING but she provided an excellent, specific review. Most of the exam questions were straight from the review. One of my favourite profs in Education.

She is so amazing! I want to take all of my education classes with her! She is so sweet and passionate about what she does. We didn't have any tests and she basically gave us the exam questions in advance. Seriously such a sweetheart. Take her class! (P.S. She does not give out too many handouts at all!)

I'm currently taking Learning Theory with her and I absolutely love her! She doesn't give out too many sheets. And you don't have to buy the textbook which is so great. She is super kind and caring. I am learning a lot of valuable information that I will definitely use in my classroom. I'm really glad I'm in her class!

Comment:

I always found her classes interesting and engaging. I especially liked the field trips to schools. The Case Study assignment was extremely relevant in addition to the focus questions for the assigned readings. Through taking this course, I have decided to pursue special education in post graduate studies. Put in a good effort and you'll do well.

I had her two years ago and agreed with the rest of the comments here, but had to revise when I got into Teaching and Learning. She may give out reams of handouts, but you are exposed to a LOT of theorys that it seems other professors neglect to mention in their Learning Theory classes.

Comment:

What's the never-ending rainbow coloured stream of hand-outs all about? I'm sure she single-handedly wiped out a good bit of the rainforest. She also completely destroyed any legitimacy left in the education department with her totally banal and naive views on teaching. Not recommended unless you live in Wolseley or similar fantasy world like hers.

smart, helpful and a great professor. however you will receive what seems to be 300 handouts, all of which she will be more than happy to tell you about the interesting colors they were printed out on. ex)"salmon" "mauve" "avacado" "sunshine"

not bad as a teacher, only complaint would be that she gives out LOTS of HANDOUTS, and doesn't hole punch any of them. didn't learn too much from her class, just that mauve is a light purple colour

Lots of work, but all worth learning. She is a hard marker. Loves class participation so know your stuff! Excellent education teacher & will gladly spend time with you after class. My 1 complaint was that we never got out on time. Not cool when you gotta catch a bus!

Polyzoi is not the most practical prof you will ever meet, but she knows her stuff. She is organized and you will know at the beginning of the year what the class will be like for the rest of the year. Lots of work, but you will learn a lot... if you are passionate about teacher you will love her.
