This class has a lot tons of homework, which takes hours to do correctly. But, she is graceful and generous when grading work. Expect the unexpected. Also, be ready to read the math material. Overall, Professor Winston is a challenging instructor but she is a compassionate person.

talks about her personal problems,did not cover needed material until college intervened,class is her doing HW problems on MyMathLab where she needs help button,strugglesskips problems she assigned,class attendance went from 20+ to -10 to -5 students,learned by self since she doesn't teach hard parts,never prepared,and so much more complaints

Comment:

Best higher math professor I have had. Professors should be forced to template their classes from hers because she definitely knows how to set students up for success. Extra credit is there, but be prepared to earn it. Doing all of the assignments with moderate studying will guarantee an A in any of her classes.

Excellent professor. Made Calc II enjoyable and interactive. Any question I submitted received a response immediately, she was very clear in her assignments and most of all extremely fair! We had countless opportunities to make up missed work and to get extra credit. There was a huge amount of HW and my only complaint is that tests were a bit long.

I just finished math 50 with her, and I am excited to enroll in 55...I NEVER Iiked math. I would always drop and I was not encouraged to work at it.. This class changed my perspective about math. Her class was so easy to understand I'm sure I did more work then I have ever did for a math class, but I did not mind! Be prepared to do lots of homework

Amazing teacher! You will learn a lot in Calculus II and be prepared to do work. This is a course were you cannot be lazy. However you will learn an incredible amount of math. I recommend this teacher, she is great!

Very clear in directions and very understanding of difficult situations. She gives many assignments but this means tests are not as devastating if you don't do too well on one of them. Extra credit is there sometimes to help boost your grade sometimes. Very comprehensive assistance

Rachel Winston is a great professor. I have actually recommended her to my aunt and my mother since they have a hard time with math. She is very supporting of her students and very helpful if you don't understand something. She wants her students to succeed and gives them every opportunity to do so.

This professor gives out stupid amounts of homework. you will make her class your life or you will fail. She is non caring of students and singles people out to fail. She shut off needed lectures. She lies to her boss about treatment of students

she assigns too many problems for the work being done. she will not teach the class she makes students pay for books that do not go with the class and pay for online access. She has a bad attitude and has not business teaching. Avoid this teacher at all costs she will fail you and smile while doing it she does not care.

Professor Winston uses a computerized program designed by a publishing company. She assigns too many problems and adds too many problems to her tests.(35 problems at this level on a test?!)Unless you are a math guru, do not take her class. Look for another teacher.

If you like a lot of homework every night, homework dates changed periodically, and don't mind all the things I just mentioned. Then go for it! Her class was so confusing, she doesn't explain or help students until it's too late, and her class will take over 35+ hours a week.

I think Dr. Winston is a great math professor! She will go above and beyond for her students to ensure their success. I was bummed that I could not take her for College Algebra because of schedule conflicts, but I strongly recommend her to anyone who needs Statistics! She offers extra credit and breakfast as an incentive to attend her class. Great!

I would recommend her over any other! She realizes the work involved in mathematical processes and furthers students who put in the work. She is very helpful and willing to go the extra mile so you learn exactly what is in the book! She recommended me to be a tutor Spring 2011 , and this has only made me work harder in mathematics.

I really enjoyed having Dr. Winston as my instructor, because she always had a unique style of teaching. I think the most important thing I learned in her class is that math in general can actually be interesting and believe it or not, fun. Dr. Winston changed my mind about math; itâ??s not really all that bad.

Before this class, math was not my favorite subject, but I now think statistics applies to everything. Rachel Winston is clear, organized, fair, helpful,and interesting. She provides packets that make the topic much easier to learn. I would take her for any of my future classes.
