He reminds me of a lion in appearance. . . . Interesting lectures, though absolutely not necessary. He tells interesting stories and is a very engaging lecturer, but you can definitely afford to skip more classes than you attend. Notes are online, but not very helpful - you should read the book to study for the tests, which are not too hard.

Much clearer than professor Lawson but not nearly as interesting. You'd be much better off to spend your class time reading the text book than listening to the lecture. Tests are multiple choice and you won't likely do well. Expect to get little to no information from the lectures and to study the book extensively for the exams.

His lectures are kind of dull, but sometimes the auxiliary stuff is interesting. Tests are easy, the questions come from the book and lecture and you're given what you need to know in advance. You get extra credit for attending lecture and there are lecture-only test questions, so you should go, but don't have to.

I loved this class. He had a straightforward lecture following his outlines. His points were very clear, and he told you all the topics that were going to be on the test. He made some sarcastic jokes here and there to keep you intrigued.

Spent too much time rambling and not enough teaching.. played the book's review cd in place of a 'real' lecture.. and was an overall BORE...Exams seemed to cover material that wasnt discussed in enough depth to make you think that they were inportant and a majority of the questions were complicated and confusing :-(

he reminds me of my grandpa. His lectures are dull, but attendance isn't necessary. seems like a really nice man, but you don't really have too much personal contact with him in a large class. he can put you to sleep, but he is clear on his lectures.

Very dull teacher. Class is fun because subject is interesting, or the assistant is interesting. King can very easily put u to sleep. Class is easy though. Attendance isn't necessary. Read the chapter & u'll pass. Beware of the mandatory experiments.
