I took this class a while ago, and I have to say that he was by far one of the best professors I ever had. He taught me math while others were just making things more confusing to me. It is not an "easy A". If you want an easy A go take something else. Math requires practice and effort.

Thank god I was able to switch out. He is the most demanding teacher. I tried talking to him about a problem that interfered with the class and he didn't care or show any ounce of concern. I wonder if he ever smiles. Take Clarke Sullivan, he's great.

Wouldn't answer any of my questions.. Rolled his eyes in my face twice.. Ignored all the students in class.. He is Exteremly Rude and Ignorant... I had to drop this class and take it with a differnt teacher.. DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID!!!

Comment:

If you need to be spoon fed through school and have your hand held during tests, don't take Minton. If you're serious about academics or are considering a math or science field, he's the teacher to take. Most of these reviewers are in for a rude awakening once they transfer to university.

He explains every problem in class step-by-step rather than just typing it on sheet of paper as handouts. The tests are difficult, but if you've studied the examples and the homework, you can pass the test. Free points for going to completing the homework and going to the math lab for help.

I studied my butt off for Minton's class and ended up with a D. I took Ms. Burkett the next semester and got an A. It helps when the teacher actually explains the material and doesn't just copy porblems on the board. I guess Minton thought it was beneath him to have to teach Intermedia Algebra.

Although, a lot of students do not like Minton because they believe that he is hard, but he is one of the best professor at Palm Beach community College. He will prepare those students in such a way so that you are ready for higher level math courses.

VERY difficult teacher! Teachers like he knows everything and treats students like idiots if they have a questions. Tests are very very hard and he marks off for every little thing, even on hw. DON'T TAKE HIM!

Don't know what other reviewers are talking about. Very helpful & goes over homework when people are confused. Tests are kind of difficult, but if you study your notes & homework, you do fine. Lots of examples & explinations & applications to real life.

This is the only class I dropped my entire the entire time I was at PBCC. He also poked fun at me, in front of the class. If you dont understand something, he doesnt help out. I definately wouldnt take this teacher.

He gives minimal explanation of the material. If you don't understand it when he explains it your out of luck because he doesnt go over any work, so you don't know where you went wrong! The tests and classwork are pretty tricky and he's anal about grading

Knows what he is teaching, but will look at you like you are dumb if you answer something wrong --he is kind of arrogant. Not that easy, very picky on grading and on tests. Tests are pretty difficult.
