Comment:

Online NUTR 300 class. Tests are hard and have very obscure questions. I studied my butt off and pulled a low A. She is flexible and will offer feedback though. Takes some getting used to her "style". Lots of disc boards and tests. Study, you'll do ok. Don't, you'll fail. Whole class failed 1 test! She gave us a re take though so that was cool.

Comment:

Long reading assignments. It's hard to know what to expect on tests/quizzes since there is so much reading involved. She grades fair on discussions and assignments, but not enough time is allotted for tests/quizzes for the content that they cover. Responds to email. Nice person. Tough instructor overall, so you will have to work for your grade!

I only used my textbook because Rita didn't teach to where I understood the material. If you ask a question she won't answer it, and when you answer a question she won't hear you then blame you and tell you that you are stupid. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Comment:

Probably the worst online class I have ever taken. Issues with Western Online caused myself and a few other students to lose submitted work, and when we emailed the teacher about it she stated we were wrong and didn't submit it correctly. Dates on the syllabus are inconsistent. The online quizzes and tests are worded horribly. Worst class ever.

I just finished her summer online 8 week Nutr 300 course. It was fast, furious, stressful, frustrating, inconsistent (info/dates/requirements), and I was made to feel stupid when I did asked questions and didn't understand what was expected of me! The online format/dates were inconsistent with the syllabus dates.I worked hard-hoping for an "A"

Doesn't respond to emails. Very unorganized (syllabus had dates on it from the previous semester). Gives different students the same feedback if at all. Doesn't give you any idea of what will be on tests. Grading was all over the place, no reasoning as to why you received the grade you did

I ended up getting a good grade in her class, but not without working my ass off for it. It's a gen ed, but she treats everyone in the class like they are dietetics majors, her lecture style is screaming, and she gets frustrated when you ask for help. Avoid her at all costs if you can.

If you ever get the option to take this woman, don't do it! I refer to her as Satan's mistress. She is extremely unhelpful and don't dare ask a question because she'll personally attack you. Getting an A- was a struggle.

A little hard to understand her with her accent, but everything is pretty self explanatory in the lecture slides. Always had errors in tests and quizzes. Attend lectures, listen to what she says, and study a bit and you'll be fine.

She has a thick accent and is not easy to understand. Her test are hard. Some of the stuff she puts on there is not discussed in class or in the text. For example if we have a Quiz on chapter 1, we will have some questions on information from chapter 7. She is very unorganized and doesn't explain concepts very clearly. She is also a hard grader.

Hard to understand. Gives out practice quizzes but most questions aren't on the actual quiz. Makes you feel stupid when asking a question. "Study Guides" for exams are horrible. Ended up dropping grades because students were doing bad on assignments due to lack of explanation. I would take a different teacher if you get the chance, not worth it.

Don't waste your time. Dropped the class due to her terrible attitude toward students, and based off the fact that she doesn't speak comprehensible English.
