Gordon is a tough grader, as she should be in a senior level class. I enjoyed her class and the discussions we had. If you are looking for an easy A, don't taker her classes. If you are, however, interested in learning a bit about Native American Lit, Gordon is the one for you.

Favorite teacher ever. Many people say she is biased; but I am guessing it's because they never spoke it. Those of us in the class who were not afraid to voice our opinion about the text- no matter how 'out-there' it may have been, were the ones who were getting paid attention to- DUH! Overall- favorite teacher thus far.

Gordon expects quality work, so this is not a class you can slack off in and expect to pass. I recommend taking notes on the stories/poems in class and using her conference time to go over your papers with her, even if you think they're fine. She likes it when students put their own spin on stories and come up with their own creative themes.

The comments about her attendance policies are so dumb to me. It's fine if you don't want to go to class and waste you, your parent's, or the school's money, but it's not the professor's fault for wanting her students to be in class. That's what college is about! Learning! Wow, what a novel idea. I think Dr. Gordon is an excellent professor!

She only wants student participation in class if you agree with her. She doesn't want any outside information brought into class. She is not very knowledgeable in Native American Lit. Loves all Native Americans as one large group. Does not give feedback in a timely manner, but penalizes students for not utilizing the feedback they didn't have.

HORRIBLE TEACHER!!! She is extremely unfair!!! She does not help you out at all... and attendance is rediculous!!!! yea i got a B in her class but i had to work my ass off!!! DO NOT TAKE HER!!! when we did teacher evaluations everyone wrote about a page on the back of the sheet about how terrible she is!!!! no lie!!!

Everyone on this thing has been right. She thinks she doesn't do anything wrong. If she needs more time to return papers, its okay...but if u need more time for anything or need help with anything there's NO WAY. She talks over you, asks questions and doesnt wait for the answer...loves the sound of her own voice. DROP HER. Attendance is ridiculous!

Drop her. She is very impolite and rude. She is not helpful at all and makes a big deal out of nothing. She believes she doesn't make mistakes therefore if you do...you're screwed. Her expectations are unclear, yet she grades you with the thinking you should have known. Makes an easy class a very boring and difficult one. DROP!!!
