This was the easiet class at augustana. There is no need to attend class or read the book! There is no need to get any of the materials for this class! He eplains everything so well that I would highly recommend this class for Pre-Nuclear advanced biologist.

LOVES PLANTS. so always expect plants to be the main focus on exams even when they shouldn't be. awesome prof. very helpful. he always kept class interesting with stories or plant****.

Dr. Matzner was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. My only critisizm would be his lectures which tended to be unorganized and confusing. He is picky with essay questions on tests, but overall a great prof!

Comment:

Very nice guy. Gives intersting lectures and isn't afraid to give you his thoughts on the topic. Tests aren't that bad, you just need to understand his testing style, which focuses on concepts and explanations rather than spitting back definitions and diagrams.

Very biased and centrally minded teacher. Good luck with arguing with him. It's his way or the highway. And if you are a pre-med major, he will hate you because he did not get accepted to medical school himself. Take someone else if you can!

Dr. Matzner is the coolest. He's a great teacher, and he sure does love his plants. But don't let his smiles and good attitude fool you too much... He means business. He expects you to work hard to learn the concepts he teaches, and will prove it with his killer tests. All together a great guy!
