Be prepared to take notes! Her tests are easy provided you have attended class, taken notes, and read the text, but prepared to do a lot of writing on the exam. You won't have time to dawdle over the test questions. THE INFORMATION LEARNED IN THIS CLASS COMES UP A LOT IN LATER CLASSES. Taking her class is of great benefit to you!

If you're bad at free response tests or lectures without any type of supplemental notes don't take her class. She says her tests aren't hard otherwise 30% of the class wouldn't make A's but it's not for everyone. This class is best for those who already are good at biology.

very hard teacher don't take her class. almost everybody fail in my class. our avarage is "F" she is hardest and horrible teacher i ever had.

Her test are extremely hard ~ mostly essay, couple of T/F and couple multiple choice. Very tricky questions. If you take her class, get ready to read the whole BIO book word for word.

Her tests were the hardest I've ever had. She expects way too much. Your hand will be cramped by the end of the test! She expects students to write down too much (many short essays) in too little time. Know the book front to back!! She also likes to call on students during lectures and if you don't know the answer, will make you feel stupid.

Comment:

Medical Micro was one of the hardest classes I have taken at the school. Dr. Robinson was a great teacher. She was always available to answer questions. A fantastic person who really cares about her students. Reading the text helped alot. The class is very demanding but also fun (depending on who your classmates are..we always had fun in my class)

Hardest class I've had in college, and it's supposed to be an introductory course. Tests are extremely difficult and the class moves at an extremely fast pace. Also, my TA was absolutely terrible and did not help at all.

The class is fast-paced with an exam about every 3 weeks. However Prof. Robinson makes it clear as exactly what she expects. You've got to keep up with the readings and it helps to go to the workshops (assuming you have a good TA). The quick pace of the class presents the only real difficulty.

Dr.Robinson is really nice and conscientious. However, her class is very challenging yet doable. You can make an A if you study extremely hard. Her tests are very long and tricky. You need to understand the material to do well. You definitefly will learn a lot from this class. It helps people get ready for the medical or dental school.
