Comment:

Dr. More gets a really bad reputation, in my opinion. It's true that she tends to ramble, but if you take her for PHY 109, all you need to do is show up to class, and do the homework. She sends lots of emails for clarification, and she's really nice. She's a very generous grader and she's very accessible outside of class if you have any questions.

Comment:

I learned more from youtube videos about electromagnatism than I did from a week covering the subject. She is obviously a very smart lady, but it is so difficult to comprehend what she's trying to say. She uses metaphors more than the actual concepts to explain something to the point where you don't know how things connect. Don't take the class.

Physics 2 is insanely difficult. She tries to explain it, but is often unclear. She is very smart, but because she is so smart, she doesn't always recognize how hard some of the things she's explaining are. Not a bad teacher, I just wish she was more organized with what she wrote on the board. Very hard to take notes without getting confused

I had heard she was the worst physics teacher for PHY 204 from my friends last semester. I was hoping things would be different for 205 since during signup week for classes she had the only availabilities in both her classes (the rest were full-even the TBA instructor's class). I got stuck, and can see why people don't like her class.

rambles during lectures and makes mistakes on examples leading to confusion, tests are very difficult and make no sense, only way to survive is go to open lab for help on homework

If you have her GET OUT. Her explanations make little to no sense, she'll ramble on for ages about the easiest concepts, and it's just terrible. I know I'm just some random person on the internet but trust me, you do not ever want her as a teacher. If you end up in this class transfer, drop, something, it's not worth staying

my high school AP physics teacher taught me more in a quarter than i learned in this semester. thank god for high school physics. if you understand the concepts and are fairly good at teaching yourself easy concepts involving algebra, don't bother going to the lecture for this class. youll just end up playing angry birds. tests are a joke, hw is ez

Lectures are extremely boring and hard to pay attention to. Homework takes ages and often seems completely unrelated to what we talk about in class. She is an easy grader though, lots of partial credit and she does help a lot of students outside of class.

More is a very easy grader, which is quite nice in physics. The homework was somewhat time consuming, but manageable for sure. It was easy to know what was going to be on the tests, easy grader, good professor.

I am an English major and hate science. No tests, and the assignments and labs were easy and graded on completion (although the work feels like "busywork"). The prof rambles but doesn't grade you down for late work. While the class is boring, I'd definitely recommend it if you're taking science because you have to and want a low stress class

During lecture she can be kind of confusing. She often gets caught up in what she is saying and can be diffecult to follow. She is very willing to help you outside of class and truely wants everyone in her class to succeed. She gives partial credit for eveything and is not that hard of a grader. I really like her and will take her classes again.

This prof is absolutely AMAZING. You will learn oodles of knowledge in her class, and she's always available to sit and chat with too. She's clear, easy to understand, a little bit of a challenge mixed with a lot of fun. Plus, she's always able to help you in any kind of physics scenario - she's good at what she does. Take her class if you can.

Dr. More is an excellent professor. She is extremely clear (although the SUBJECT at times can be difficult to understand, it's physics!), she is obviously a genius, and she is very nice/approachable.

She profoundly insired my interest in physics. While at times she can be somewhat unclear, she is very approachable. She seems better suited for teaching advanced-level courses. One of the better professors at UP.
