Comment:

Dr. Salzman was a great instructor. It's obvious he loves what he does and takes the time to personally video a response for every single assignment. He's funny and chooses some very interesting topics to address. Probably one of my favorite professors of all time!

Comment:

I took Dr. Salzman for Biomedical Ethics, and it was a blast. He is very knowledgable about his stuff. I would recommend attending the few outside extra credit opportunities that he offers throughout the semester because getting an "A" in the class takes a good amount of work. With that in mind, I really learned a lot in this class.

The class is composed of timed, weekly online quizzes and three essay exams and is lecture based. Dr. Salzman has a great sense of humor and is very helpful if you ask for him. Put in the work and it isn't too difficult. Take him!

Dr. Salzman is by far my favorite professor at Creighton. Yes, his class is fairly difficult, but it's so worth it if you put in the time and participate in his class. He genuinely cares about his students, and wants each and every one of them to do well. TAKE HIM

You're only graded on 6 pop quizzes, the midterm, 10-12pg paper and the final so you really have to do well on those. If you put in the effort to study you should do well. He's helpful if you ask questions and he really wants people to participate so participate and he'll like you.

Salzman is a great teacher and person but beware that his class is VERY hard. He grades tough and doesn't give a lot of constructive commentary or opportunities to raise your grade. Although he is super knowledgeable about the material, it just makes the class that much harder.

This Ethics class was surprisingly tough. There are not many opportunities to raise your grade. Lectures are long and kind of dull if there is not a case study to discuss. He is a good guy and nice professor though.

I took his online class, so i don't really know his personality in a classroom. but his lectures weren't the clearest, also he grades papers and participation very harshly. i was so happy there wasn't a test because i would've probably failed it. the 8 page paper wasn't exactly easy either...

Salzman has been teaching this class for so long, he just babbles while the class is completely lost. Try to stay interested because he is nice man, but horrible teacher. Does not prepare you or help for midterm and final(impossible to do well). Class participation doesn't weigh enough with only 2tests and 10page paper.

Dr. Salzman is a great teacher. His tests were a bit hard, but they were do-able if you studied the material. He required a lot of reading, but it was an ethics class so that is to be expected. He was very helpful and was always available outside of class. He is extremely knowledgeable about the subject matter.

Dr. Salzman is a really nice guy who obviously knows what he in talking about. But he gives impossible tests and the lectures are VERY hard to understand. Your arent allowed to use lap tops, but all the lectures are on-line power points so you're stuck frantically writting and not paying attention I'd strongly advise someone else-

He's done some great research, apparently, but as a teacher he's fairly mediocre. My ethics class consisted of the same half-dozen individuals arguing over mundane points whilst the rest of the class went to their happy places. Oh yeah, and then he would cram the course content (PPTs) into the last 5 mins. Not a hard class, but not enlightening.

Todd is one of the best teachers I've ever had at Creighton. I'm not Catholic and I was not put off by his style of teaching. He is understanding and really makes you form you ethical believes. This is the most worthwhile class I've taken at Creighton. TAKE HIM if you get the chance!
