if you come to class, pay attention and actually take notes on what he is saying, you will have no problem in passing the exams. If you work the problems in the study guide as a practice test, you will be fine come actual test time. No other grades other than three tests, and offered opportunities for extra credit on each of them.

Worst class I've ever taken. EVER. Never let us out on time, didn't give out study guides, used the book once, doesn't use powerpoint, doesn't use blackboard, so you're basically on your own.

nice guy. take notes, two to three tough exams, he gave us the study guide and before exam tell class which questions are going to have. exam has definition questions and explanation, no multiple choose or true false ): , no assignments no projects, no presentation , has giving a good curve for the exams .. good luck ^_^

This class is ridiculous. He never let us out on time. He always went over. Three tests with a curve that was just astonishing. The highest grade I got was a 60 and passed with an A.

Dr. Warfel is absolutely awful. He has no idea how to teach. The material is so confusing and what he says are the answers on the study guide he will tell you is wrong come exam time. Not helpful whatsoever and will make you feel like an idiot when you ask a question. Never answers a question directly, always beats around the bush to confuse u more

Dr. Warfel knows the world of Insurance but can't teach it to save his life. He can't even pronounce simple English words correctly (and he's white and raised in the U.S.). His classes are boring but he's a nice guy.

This is the worst prof. I have had at ISU! Teaches like you already know the material. During a study session he says word for word what he wants on the test and marks everything wrong come test time. I have never hated a class this much!!! Steer clear!!!!

I had Warfel for Life and Liability this semester. Actually, I've come to like his classes. No group projects or homework of any kind. I'm usually not a good test taker, but I went to every class and paid attention. He tells you what will be on the exams and the curve is pretty substantial. Other than the fact that he's Warfel, no complaints.

Life Insurance-Spring2002 Knowledgeable, interesting lectures, fair grading. Easy class if you have any common sense at all. Due to monotone voice, many find it hard to stay awake.I like him and would take him again. He knows his stuff and explains things well.

The man knows his stuff, but he can't teach. There is no structure to his class. If you have to take him, go to class everyday even though his is boring. If you go everyday you will absorb something, and by the time the class is over you will have learn some useful information.

Yes, he is boring to listen to, but if you actually show up and pay attention, you will be fine. He knows his stuff, and I have learned far more from him than any other prof on campus. Tests are hard, but he curves based on the class average. Not that hard of a class if you pay attention.

Warfel is by far the worst teacher I have EVER had. He has no book, he makes you pick up a packet with a bunch of xerox copies of newspapers and magazine articles in it and they arent numbered. So if you are looking for something, it will take you days to find it. Yes he does curve a lot, but his test are all essay and impossible. Avoid if possible

When the man studders through his entire lecture and hands out his syllabus that he has no idea what it says how is he expected to teach a class. Course booklet does not even follow the book. Friend of mine sat outside the class waiting for me and fell asleep listening to him

Knows what he's talking about when it comes to liability. Learned more in his class than any of my other INS classes. The curve on his tests is awesome, plus he doesn't make you do an impossible group project like some professors.
