Sooo ridiculously hard. She talks and talks and talks, but says nothing. Wants you to memorize the answers by rote.. NO ACADEMIC FREEDOM . her opinions ARE FACT. very small minded.

Tang Laoshi is so crazy! I love her! She was very nice about people turning in late film analysis papers.. and the exams (midterm AND final) were both taken directly from the notes.. very easy. She only deviates from the syllabus in ways that benefit the students. I ended up with an A-; I think the reading quizzes were what hurt my grade..

She's a great teacher. The class is not easy, but she makes sure you get a grade you deserve. She is very encouraging and will answer your questions about the language more clearly than any of the other professors in the department for levels 101-301). She's on sabatical this semester and we miss her teaching a lot in 301.

the course material can be difficult, but she is a good professor, always making sure you know your grade status and gives constructive feedback in your performance. she is just so enthusiastic to teach and is SO PATIENT, always reminding us that she knows this is not the easiest course to take.

Cannot say enough wonderful things about her. She is very interesting, not to mention she truly cares about her students. If I had taken a class with her earlier, I might have ended up a Chinese minor. The best advice for this class is keep up with the readings and then you'll be fine. She's great!
