SO BORING!!!! He has a monotone voice and stays on the same slide for 15 minutes! His tests are insanely hard and he takes 3 weeks to grade them. He gives you study guides that are NOTHING like the test. You have to study the powerpoints and the study guide to pass. Out of 180 students there were over 100 C's and only 24 A's.

Systems is a hands-on research style course. I loved it! We did experiments that were new, unlike regular labs. He puts you on the spot, calls you out, asks questions, and tells you how to talk. Lots of writing and he filmed us speaking. ugh. Tests are really hard to study for and get ready for lab math. OMG.

One of the best professors I've had at Brockport. He cares about his students so reach out to him, he will help you. I've learned the most in this class than any other class I've taken, and it was also the hardest class I've ever taken at Brockport. It's not impossible if you put in the time and effort. Best advice to follow is to READ THE TEXTBOOK

Dr. Rich was one of the best professors I'v had so far at Brockport but his class was also one of the hardest. His tests are hard which caused me to have to spend hours studying, but I can honestly say that I learned more in this course than any other course so far. He is also very willing to give you the help you need! Awesome professor!

Dr. Rich is intimidating and speaks his mind. If you work hard, do the reading notes and study a lot you should do well. Everyone says you need to read the chapters but I would say more specifically you should only read certain topics to help clarify them and mainly focus on the figures. I find watching youtube videos on challenging topics to help

Only take this class if mandatory. Definitely interesting, but very challenging. Attending class is not necessary at all, but you do get extra credit. All test are based completely on the textbook, so it's essential. Dr. Rich wants you to do well, take advantage of the discussion board! He's a really awesome guy if you get to know him.

Neurophys is pretty hard, lots of math. Rich knows the material cold, derives equations on the board. Expects us to master the material- and also to know why things matter. Tells us all the time, too much, why this is important for the long run.

The key to success for this class is reading the book! I never read a book for a class before and but staying ahead of Dr. R in the book made lecture a great experience! Dr. R is GREAT and extremely knowledgable. Always willing to answer questions. Tutors for this class are another excellent resource! You will do fine in this class if you work hard

Dr. Rich is one of the worst professors I've had at Brockport. I dreaded going to his class and labs each week. He makes things way harder than they need to be. He also acts as if his class is all you have going on without factoring in other classes, jobs, sports, etc. The lab and lecture exams are ridiculously hard. TERRIBLE PROFESSOR. AVOID HIM!!

Probably the worst professor I've had here at Brockport. The tests are really tough (both lab and lecture). Throughout the labs, he'll put in parenthesis "I'm not sure if this is right though" and also does not grade fairly at all. I would not recommend this course for anyone.

Awesome, challenging, sometimes sarcastic. Sometimes tries too hard to be funny or to reach students. Praises research a lot.
