He's a genius in his field. Don't get cocky in his class or he will call you out on it and make you act a fool. He's caring, wants students to succeed. Negative is that many of the hw sheets he does not show you step by step how to solve it so you have to spend time outside of class. Class is often released early when he gets done with lecture.

Comment:

Best (and beardiest) professor I had throughout my four years at Carroll - hands down. I took several classes from him and he was consistent throughout. Prof. Simpson is a true professional who inspires students while craving his own self-discovery. Always accessible, even if you have to step over stacks of books in his office to find a chair.

You will be let out earlier everyday. He comes to class with no lesson plan and talks about stuff from the top of his head. He is never on topic and everything he talks about in class is not on the tests. Read the book and teach yourself the material. The tests are all, completely short answer.

He is the best teacher I've ever had. He's not my adviser but helped me with my schedule when it came to picking out the correct classes to be on the right path toward a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. I've taken two classes with him and both classes proved useful and interesting in every day life, especially for other classes at Carroll. AWESOME!

Not only is he a great professor, he's also my advisor and he is extremely wonderful to have on your side and help guide you throughout your Psychology college career. He is extremely busy but if you ask him to make time for you he most definitely will. Great listener and helpful.
