Comment:

Professor Delgado has loads of experience and is a good person. However, his lectures are extremely scattered, and his grading criteria is not always 100% clear. Beware of word count, he'll take points off for even a word over. He is clearly very passionate about social work and his stories about the field are really interesting.

Comment:

Professor Delgado is an experienced professional who has a wide range of experience in the social work field. Unfortunately, he is not always able to translate this knowledge to the classroom. His lectures are often a bit scattered and he can be disorganized. Additionally, his grading criteria is not always clear. I would not recommend him.

Delgado appears to have no idea what he is doing or what he is supposed to be lecturing on each week. The videos he shows in class have nothing to do will that weeks topic and there is little, if any, discussion after. His lectures are unorganized and off topic. He is one of the worse professors I have ever had. 0/10 would NOT recommend.

Comment:

I really appreciated this professor with his realm of knowledge about the field and his somewhat tough grading. He likes to make sure that students touch upon every point in a paper outline so as not to leave anything out regardless if it applicable. This was a great lesson which a lot of students made themselves upset over but I appreciated.

Adrian expects a lot but is frustratingly unclear about what what he expects. Make sure ur laptop is charged for 2.5 hrs of Facebook or your best ink pens are available for doodling bc u will not be able to understand what he lectures about. Such random videos with no. Try to count how many times this guy says Pilsen in one class period.

Adrian not only challenges you as a Social worker but as a Human Being. Race and Ethics are not the easiest topics of discussion but Adrian presents the facts. He doesnt not sugar coat anything and is very honest about the field. There is a good amount of reading. Group presentation and 2 lengthy papers. I recommend Adrian.

Adrian is an excellent professor. He has a passion for his work and it is apparent in how much he cares about what his students are doing. He engages in a great deal of class discussion and offers readings and videos that you would not encounter in any other classes. I enjoyed his class so much I signed up for another class with him.

This professor is one of the worst that I have ever had. He is unclear about what he expects of your on assignments and is often misleading. He will say that he doesn't want you to be too detailed and then mark you down for not being in depth enough. He consistently shows the same videos no matter the class and they often are irrelevant. AVOID HIM!

This professor is arrogant, not helpful and does not follow his syllabus. I found this class to be a waste of my time. This was the worst class I have taken in years and suggest you avoid this class if you want to be taught something by someone who actually cares about their students.

One of the worst educators I have had in my entire educational career. His lectures have nothing to do with the topic on the syllabus. He shows videos that are irrelevant and he does not explain why he is showing them. His assignments are not explained clearly. He is rude, disrepectful of students, arrogant and negative. AVIOD if can.

Lectures are sometimes and mostly irrelevant to the topic on the syllabus. Lots of videos and websites shown, also sometimes irrelevant. Read the syllabus thoroughly, forget reading the books (unless a paper is on a specific article or chapter), dont pay attention to the lectures..BS your way through it- easy A.

Mr. Delgado is an awesome teacher!! I have adopted him as my mentor. He is very knowledgeable about the field and his very approachable. He has 5 quizes and he gives you the questions before hand so all you have to do is study them. No final or midterm. There was a presentation along with a final paper. I would highly recommend Mr. Delgado!!!

I liked the class, it seemed to mainly consist of fairly common knowledge. The only really difficult thing about the class was the papers. He is extremely friendly and very accommodating if you have a problem. I highly suggest taking Prof Delgado if you enroll in SOWK 200.

really nice guy with lots of field experience, but not the best teacher. brings in speakers and has you do a presentation, both of which are really informational about the field. midterm isn't as bad as what all of these people are saying. lectures are boring, but tells stories from the field and is very willing to help any and every student!

He's a really nice guy, but I don't feel like I've learned anything in his class. The class was really boring, consisting of videos which didn't relate to anything and powerpoint presentations he does literally copying passages from the textbook and reading them. We had a few long papers. He's a pretty easy grader.

Very knowledable in the Field. The Class is not difficult, Midterm is not as bad as people have made it out to be. Delgado, is in fact very approachable, if does not have the answer, which is rarely he will find the info and email it to u. I Stronly recommend!
