Comment:

We spent 4 hours discussing current events and unrelated history facts, mostly about other countries. It is an easy class you can retake all the quizzes and tests are both essays, a few random projects most with little guidance. If you are a PoliSci Major def. don't take this professor, if not, knock yourself out but you'll be bored. He's nice.

Hes one of the BEST professors at pcc. Very knowledage, actually worked in office. Hes the reason I went to D.C. Hes passionate about what he teaches. No quizzes or tests. The midterm was a one or two page report. The final 5000-1000 word essay on how you can make a difference in your community. Hes sassy and reads his ratings on here��.

Okay look, the old man is nice but he is absolute garbage when it comes clearly stating criteria! I'm failing and professor juarez gives almost no craps in explaining what his expectations are of homework. FYI im taking winter, he expects us to respond to several question between 500 to a 1000 words. TAKE ANYONE ELSE BUT HIM.

I entered the class hating Political Science and left the class loving it. Prof Juarez made me love the class. His lectures are great but sometimes it can get boring. In general he is not a tough grader. I took a 7 am class and enjoyed it . He can be unorganized sometimes but definitely worth to try.

Comment:

Professor Juarez is one of those rare teachers who want to teach - and care that you learn. I dreaded Poli Sci, Gov, History, and everything like that in grade school. He sparked my interest and I enjoyed learning in this class. It didn't hurt that Clinton/Trump elections took place during this class, and there was no shortage of great dialogue!

Very sweet man with a passion for politics and political involvement. He always urged us to get more involved which I respected, and his lectures were great, however as sweet and aware and involved he was, he was disorganized and difficult to reach outside of class. Textbooks were I guess used, but not enough to where it was money worth spending.

Very unorganized professor does not put grades up on time on canvas. Makes you take online quizzes which you can take twice if needed. He tries to get everyone to participate during lectures. Likes to talk about current issues or news.

This guy is a great teacher! very inspiring and really gets you involved politically. he knows a lot about what he's talking about and really gets the class to participate with each other. Easy quizzes and all u have to do is read an easy chapter a week and do an easy quiz. the final project was fun!

Worst teacher ever! he might be a really nice person but he doesn't know how to organize anything. he made us do online work that didn't make sense. All my classmates would complain because he wouldnt put the grades up. Get ready for boring lectures and getting 2 books for his class is a waste of money.

I loved and hated this class. I loved it because he was a great lecturer who knew how to extend the material to real life. As a "class" though, it was extremely disorganized and most of the time, no one knew what was going on with assignments. On top of that, he was pretty difficult to reach. It seemed like he didnt know how to run a classroom

By far the greatest professor I have taken while at PCC. I could write a book on how great this man is. He cares for his students & encourages them to make a difference in the world. He's the perfect example of how all educators should be. This isnt just a job or a way to make money for him. He put polisci in a whole new light for me, TAKE HIM

An old soul with a lot of passion and many stories to tell. To get an A, just take the online quizzes, they're not hard at all since you will have two chances to take them. Memorably notable teacher who makes an effort to engage everyone. He even took our class photo for memories keeps! Highly recommended

Professor Juarez has so many stories and experiences that his students should not overlook. He has a lot of experience in his field and knows a lot of people in City Hall, where he worked for years before becoming a teacher. Juarez values Education and tries to push students to not give up on their studies. Take him, you won't regret it.
