One of the worst courses I have ever had. Class materials were chaotic, optional lectures but quizzes had super tricky questions, exams were open book, but even open book was impossible to get an A, this was frustrating. Avoid this class

One of the most understanding and pro-active professors I've had the opportunity to learn from. She teaches her classes as well as treats her students like equals and gives them every opportunity to succeed. If you're planning on being a professional, her classes prepare you to interact in that type of setting.

Linda is by far the best professor I've had in all my years of college. She cares about everything she teaches, genuinely wants her students to do well, and connects with us personally. She has helped me ever since I became a student in her department, and her classes are far from boring. Super fun, hands on, will definitely miss her classes.

Linda is a very interesting character. She is very intelligent and cares about her field and will make sure everyone knows it. Says some pretty off the wall things but its entertaining. The class was alright, optional lectures but quizzes had super tricky questions so even open book and notes was impossible to get an A, this was frustrating.

Professor Schweitzer is very enthusiastic about what she teaches and her Powerpoint presentations were very informational and piqued my interest. One of the best things I liked about this professor, was the amount of time she would devote to her students, she would willingly talk to you after class during her office hours and she is very flexible.

She is great. Very knowledgable and makes class pretty interesting. She can talk your ear off. Very passionate about her work. She is not the best teacher because she is disorganized but what scientist isn't! No book, tests can be difficult but loved the class. I would definitly recommend her.

She applied the material to real world situations and potential job opportunities which helped a lot and made the class more interesting. No book required, just attendance. Best class I've taken in a while.

Her lectures were impossible to follow. She is very passionate about the subject, but that means that she presents a lot of information that she doesn't test you on. The tests consist of either her opinions or very specific details from stuff in the book. Almost impossible to study for. I would avoid her.

THis class is fairly easy and subject matter is interesting, no doubt, but her lectures revolve around rants she has about the text book makers and other scientists, and also if you are majoring in any other thing besides environment don't expect her to take too much interest in helping you, but she is a very smart woman

Had her for 486 as well. Committed to work and her students, pretty much her program is why I'm still here. She can be over the place at times, but she listens to her students and is laid back. Worth your time.

Very disappointed in the presentation of this class. Seems all the info comes straight from the internet. Lectures are difficult to follow. Exams are impossible to study for. Labs would have been a nice addition. Did not walk away from this class with anything useful to my career goals. Basically, take it because you have to.

Lecture is frenetic, chaotic, unfocused and attention deficit. "knowing and understanding" an instructor should not be a pre-requisite for an effective educator. Unfortunately you will not be able to avoid her if you are an ENV major.

She is absolutely unprepared and pretty confusing with her matters. Does not spend enough time for preparation of lecture. There is no textbook and her notes does not help. I wanted to attend this class with great expectation but ended up in losing everything. I do not know where to begin and where to stop
