She is a great professor. I also had her for Thea 1101. She is kind and she really cares about her students. I would recommend taking any of her classes. He grading is clear and she gives good feedback. You should not get anything lower than an A in her class.

Comment:

I took the Women on Stage & Screen class and it was very interesting. She stuck to the syllabus and grading criteria was clear. Each module usually had a film, some readings, a summary assignment, a discussion post & a short quiz. It was not hard at all, but you must put thought into your posts as they must be 500 words. Still, pretty easy A.

This is a easy going class. Show up or don't you will pass. She is very helpful and gives out some type of extra credit. There are a good amount of quizzes but just use your book because all the answers are in there (super easy). Should pass with at least a B.

Cuomo is AWESOME!!! She is so understanding and down to earth. She offers extra credit opportunities and even allows you to check out her book at the library instead of buying it! Her class is not a gimme A though, you must work for it!

Comment:

Great teacher, very passionate about theatre. Doesn't like to step on anyone toes and is very understanding. I skipped 4 weeks in a row and still made an A in the class. You will have to study though if you do that and watch the videos online. Lots of videos to watch, but overall quite easy to get an A.

Professor Cuomo's lectures were heavily centered on videos and the textbook. If you don't show up to class or read the textbook, you will not know the majority of the information on the final. She is very sweet, and flexible, but tends to favor her Theatre majors. Overall, a good professor!

There is a lot of reading in the online class, but the readings are extremely interesting. Multiple quizzes, discussion posts and assignments are needed to complete in order to succeed in the class. She replies to emails quickly, and she is very helpful. Take her if you can!

I absolutely love this lady. She is extremely passionate about her class;she teaches with enthusiasm & she keeps it real. All you have to do is the readings which is at most 5pgs long. She always shows videos to go along with the reading. We had two quizzes, a midterm, project, final & had to go see two plays the whole semester. I recommend her

best teacher ever, i took her woman studies class and i would take her a million times, she keeps it real understand real life and cares about her students work is always interesting and easy.... there is alot of writing and papers as well as note taking but an easy A if you do the work and come to class

My independent study class with her proved invaluable. I can now write better than I was able to before. The research we conducted led me to further understand what works and what doesn't for my chosen craft. If you have a chance to take any class from her, do it without hesitation.

Amy was an amazing teacher! We watched a lot of films and had to go see two plays. We wrote journals and event journals to help boost our grades. Her class was very interesting and it made me declare my minor as Women's Studies! It's a pretty easy class as long as you show up and read the required material.

AWESOME!! Extremely nice and helpful. Most problems on the midterm and final was on previous online test. Able to use book for online test. Take the class to boast up GPA. Almost impossible not to make an A! Super sweet teacher, just be quite in class while she's talking. Even if you don't like theater, I would recommend her.

Dr. Cuomo was extremely encouraging and knowledgeable. As long as you try your best, you'll be fine. Her office is almost always open. She understands film and screenwriting, which really helped. I would take any class that she teaches.
