Lipoma is a hard teacher!! Do not take her if you do not have strong writing skills. She will give you a D in the class and then you will have to retake it. It you want to be challenged and I mean CHALLENGED, then go ahead and take the risk. If you just want your credit then TAKE ANOTHER TEACHER!!! no joke.

American Culture studies: Satan!! GREAT topic, and I really love this class. Lipoma makes me think harder and write better than in any of my previous classes. And we laugh so much while we're learning. Take her, whatever you do!

Dr. Lipoma is a great teacher. Its true she dosent email back, but if you ask her a question up front she will answer it. She is a hard grader. I thought I was a good writer until I met her. She expects more from her students and she will push you to become the best writer you could be.

Professor Lipoma is very nice. She's very funny and a bit of a hippie. She's a little scatter-brained. She never answers e-mails and she'll start off talking about one thing and switch to another subject, or she'll address a question and never come up with an answer. She's a pretty easy grader from what I've seen. I would recommend taking her.

What can I say? I consider this class to be pretty pointless. Prof. Lipoma tends to be a bit pretentious. And seems uncaring. She doesn't get too personal with her students. Nor responds to emails. Its not a psychology class, yet she treats it like one. It was less about communication and more pushing her own agenda of making ourselves feel better.

Definitely not high school anymore. I've never worked so hard for a B in my life, but I'm proud of this grade. Lipoma showed us how everything from Hamlet to comic books reveal the meaning of life. Hard grader, but completley on the students side.

I've never worked harder in my life for one single class. Lipoma makes yuou want to, though. Plus we get to write about the Beatles and Grizzly Man and Slaughterhouse Five all in one paper. She's either crazy or genius.

I'm a senior and thought this class was one of the best I'd taken. Lots of immature studnets whined about the writing, but Lipoma told us over and over that you have to be a good writer to get decent jobs. If you don't want a real education, go to trade school! Great books & discussions in Graphic Novel. Don't listen to the babies.

We just finished a discussion of Alison Bechdel's "Fun Home," and Lipoma made sense of that very hard book. It was full of offensive but really important stuff, and lots of the class got hung up on the lesbian stuff, but Lipoma showed us how even though the book seemed strange, it was relevant to us on lots of levels. Favorite professor ever.

What does that tell you!! she is not lenient whatsoever, and is rude to you if you have to step out of class for some reason.
