Such an easy class, literally show up to lecture and pay attention and you will pass. My TA gave us the test review filled out so I would recommend reading the book unless your TA does that too. Such an amazing instructor, so clear and kind in lectures. Approaches sensitive topics with grace and professionalism.

Comment:

Meeks is a great professor! She is very clear about what will be on the test and doesn't make you scavenge through your textbook. Her lectures are interesting and she makes class fun. Attendance isn't mandatory but you should still go! It will save you a lot of time reading through the textbook, and if you take notes, you will make an A.

Comment:

Only does grade off 4 tests and SONA, but tests are not hard. Just go to class and listen to her lecture and take notes on her pre made slides and you will do fine. Barely studied for all test and am getting an A for the semester.

Professor Meeks is such a sweet woman! She really loves what she does, and it shows. Her sexuality class was super interesting. Her exams aren't too difficult, if you show up to class and study, you'll do great! Luckily our TA this year was AMAZING she helped us out so much.

Was excited to learn more into the mind on the topic of sexuality but the course ended up just being an Anatomy class... Meeks is sweet and course is straight forward, just didnt talk much about psychology

Comment:

Meeks is a kind professor who truly has a passion for what she does. The lack of study guides was annoying and felt unfair because previous classes had them, but I understand why she decided to stop making them. Attendance isn't required but is very helpful in understanding the material better

She's a good prof but be warned: there are no study guides for tests. She also seems to get a little mixed up on occasion (she accidentally put a chapter we hadn't covered on a test - but she fixed it after the entire class emailed her). She's kind & explains things well. Not necessary to attend class but I recommend it for certain test questions

Amy Meeks is the sweetest lady! You can tell she really tries to make her class the best for freshman, and it is. She tells you exactly what to expect in her class. The textbook is helpful, but I honestly think I could have gotten an A without it... I'm not necessarily recommending that. Show up and try, and you've got an easy A.

DO THE EXTRA CREDIT! Although I read the textbook and went to every class I always made B's on every test. Dr. Meeks is very sweet and loves to teach, her lectures can get kind of boring but she encourages conversation!

She's a really nice prof and enjoys her job. She gives good examples to go with principles, theories, definitions, etc. She gives 4 exams over the semester including the final which make up 95% of your grade, and her exams aren't too too hard.

Comment:

Attendance is mandatory for the first 12 classes then she stops taking it. There is a textbook, I recommend reading it and taking notes from her powerpoints at the same time. She posts all of her powerpoints on TRACS. She is a very sweet lady and will offer help if you ask. No quizzes or homework but there are tests. Easy A with some effort!

she cool and all but like she talks a lil too fast and sometimes she talks low in her mic so you cant hear some words. SHE DONT GIVE TEST REVIEWS. so you don't get the gist of what's on the test. Even though attendance isn't mandatory go to class because her PowerPoints isn't filled in. But she does give a good amount of extra credit so. she coo.

super sweet professor but Im a straight A student and i found this class extremely and unnecessarily hard. She does not give reviews and she expects you to read the book required for this class.

Professor Meeks is super sweet and is just lecture only. Attendance isn't taken, the only way you pass is if you study the powerpoint slides that you take notes from but the tests aren't hard.

Shes an extremely sweet woman and explains things very well, but considering her class size is so large and she has such in depth concepts to teach us, she works entirely too fast for the amount of information we have to comprehend. She also just recently stopped making reviews for us so theres a lot of memorization required.

She likes to veer off topic a lot and loves class discussion. Only problem is sometimes class discussions take 30 mins and does not pertain to the lecture. She moves SLOW through power points and could take serval days on one chapter. Can be very boring but she's such a great/sweet professor.
