Comment:

Dr. Hunter presents course content very well and uses stories and studies to explain the info. If you go to class and pay attention, studying for exams is significantly easier than trying to learn it on your own. She's always willing to meet with students too and is super helpful. Definitely one of my favorite profs and courses I've ever taken.

I get shes like senior chair of the department or whatever but if you just show up, keep up with notes and actually try on the writing assignments you can handle it. everyone is going to question why you took her but forget them, tests are straight forward with extra credit with each exam. suck it up you can do it.

Definitely a hard class with a lot of material, but she explains it in a pretty straight forward way. You have to come to class and read the book (not required but it helps), but the review guides and rubric for the writing assignments clear too. She's a little aloof so don't take it personally but she will always help a student who tries.

Comment:

Dr. Hunter is one of the best professors at SHU!!! She is truly passionate about the subject and clearly knowledgeable. She really wants to see her students succeed, however, will make you work for your grade. She takes attendance each class, but you will learn so much more from being there so it's worthwhile. Gives extra credit. Loved her class!!

she scared me the first few times I was in her classroom. The woman works hard to make sure you understand the material. She gives you a lot of work but i's all dedicated to what's going on in class. She doesn't like slackers but doing her work really pays off. Take her class!

I took her after being advised that other RM professors don't actually teach you anything. Be prepared to do tons of work. However, if you commit and want to learn - you will be shocked at how much you take out of her class. Yes, it is difficult and yes, you will spend hours doing her work. It is very worth it! She knows her stuff & is very helpful

This class is not hard at all. She explains her ppoints very well and her tests are from the notes. Whoever says there are tricky questions on the tests didn't bother to study their notes. Gives extra credit and in class labs are easy and fun.

the person below me is on crack. she gives you a chance for at least 40 pts extra credit. 10 extra points on each test. and those "papers" they are seriously 2-2 1/2 pages long. shes cool and all but can come off as snotty sometimes. id reccomend her.

Dont take this class unless you have to. Huge amount of very detailed material on each test- her review sheet is unhelpful. not enough extra credit opps, and attendance counts! 4 papers, 4 tests, too much to deal with!

I had her for many different classes and shes a great professor. Her tests are tough but she gives you plenty of oppurtunites to bring up your grade. She was very helpful and likes class particiaption alot, especially in reseach methods and senior seminar. She normally doesnt count attendance, but GO to the class, its worth it. =)

SHE GIVES YOU 10 POINTS EXTRA CREDIT IN EVERY EXAM! If you did bad in her class, you have more to deal with than this class. I read the summaries at the end of each chapter before the tests and got an A. Take her.

the people who said she's easy are in serious denial... Her notes and lectures are fine, but her review is only so much. Her exams have questions that you didn't know existed! Her questions are tricky, they puzzle you and even though she says it's easy, it's screwed you from behind! big time!!

Wonderful lady and great teacher. Class was really interesting and she always had time to help! Tests are right from the notes/text. Dedicate some studying and you'll do GREAT. I strongly recommend her!
