Such a great guy. No homework except to read, there are quizzes every once in a while but everything you need to know is on the powerpoint. He tries to make lectures interesting by adding in personal stories, and has a great accent. Definitely best Theo prof.

Funniest, easiest teacher you can take. No homework. Occasional quizzes, but all information is on powerpoint. you need to go to class to get the notes for the quizzes and he takes attendance. The lectures can be boring, but he lets you out early most of the time and doesnt give anyone lower than a B. Hes funny and knows theo1001 is boring

Good professor, really funny. Knows how to teach the material. Supplements lecture with visual materials in an interesting way that helps you remember. Genuinely learnt a great deal. Exams not hard at all if you actually study. Hope I can take another class with him.

This class was easier than I could fathom. A handful of quizzes, 2 tests, and a paper account for the entire grade. Quiz/exam information came directly off powerpoints. Easy grader on paper and essay questions. Doesn't care if you're asleep or on your phone during class. Funny guy too.

Dr. Orlov was a good professor for an extremely dull class. He did his best to keep us awake. If you do take him, make sure to take handwritten notes and actually try to listen to what he says because a lot of information is what he says in addition to his powerpoints. He doesn't post grades on D2L and there is one big paper, but it's not that bad.

Comment:
For someone who has very little theology background, Dr. Orlov made things easy to understand with absolutely no bias. His stories about Russia and his theological journey were great. He takes the success of his students seriously. 2 exams and a paper, heavy bible reading in the first half of the semester.

A must take (easiness wise). Literally says every class that he is impossible to fail. Lectures are EXTREMELY boring and often go so off topic it's hard to remember what class you're even in. But, if you take decent notes and show up, you're guaranteed at least a AB. But yeah, bring a drink/you're computer or you have no chance of staying awake.

This is the best professor at Marquette University. Definitely take him for theology. He is very understanding. This midterm and final are somewhat hard everything else is easy. I'd highly encourage taking this professor. I really enjoyed this class because he was an amazing professor.

One of the best professors I have had at MU. He has passion, integrates personal stories and is funny. Assignments are not difficult at all - just make sure you attend lecture and take solid notes.

Easiest class ever. I dosed off during lectures ever day but still wrote down all the lecture notes. Lectures are like 10 slides each. Study lectures and you'll get an A. DONT BUY THE BOOKS. You don't need them, you only need a bible. I studied for final and midterm the day off and got a A. Seriously take this class, so boring but SO worth it.

Perfect theology professor, since no work is required to pass this class. Reuses same quizzes and tests year after year, and material is very basic. Very boring, but probably the easiest of all the intro theo professors on campus.

You are going to sit there while he talks but if you take the notes on his power point and somewhat listen there is no way you can get less than an A or AB. 2 test, 10 easy quizzes, easy 2 minute presentation and a paper. It is going to be boring sometimes but so worth it. As long as you show up, it will boost your GPA. He's a funny guy

This is a great class and teacher! It is really boring at times and completely lecture based. Take notes on the slideshows because they are not on d2l. Mid term/final 6 quizzes 1 presentation and 1 essay. Got an A with little effort

This class is extremely easy. His accent makes it easy to sort of tune him out and so it can get a little boring just sitting for an hour. But if you do listen to him he is very very smart and he is funny and wants you to like theology. There's a midterm and final (easy), handful of quizzes, presentation, and paper. Definitely recommend, take him!

Dr. Orlov's intro to theo class was one of the easiest classes I've taken in my lifetime. Just go to class and listen to his Russian accent and you won't get lower than a B (literally you can get 0/9 on his quizzes and still get a B----). A midterm, final, 6 quizzes, a presentation, and a paper. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Easiest class ever. All you need to do is pay attention in lectures and you're getting an A in the class. He is pretty funny at times. He is also really smart. The guy has so many masters and PhDs, so he's the best you could possibly get.
